If you are only going to make one AMV to try it out, just use Windows Movie Maker. Otherwise, you should invest in Sony Vegas or Abode Premier. You can use subbed anime if you wanted, you can crop subtitles out if you use Sony Vegas.

Pick an easy song for the first one you make then work your way up to harder songs. Make your videos have some meaning to them. Use clips from more than one episode.

I'll think of other things to suggest later...

Hmm...a friend of mine gave me this site:

http://bt.saiyaman.info/

Never used it. I prefer to use subbed and crop out the subtitles.

No, not cropping out the subs would be a mistake. I have many but it's against forum rules to send you links to them...

Advice: don't make an AMV. Its geeky and waste of time. It also has a 100% probability of sucking and an equal likelihood of featuring a Linkin Park soundtrack.

1.ok well the windows movie maker only accepts the wmv files or avi files (files u can play on windows media player).

2.and as for the one peice anime i sujjest using torrents.

3.if you do have bittorrent or bitcommet anything that can download from torrents is fine. if u dont hav bittorrent just google it. download and install.

4.after that go to google again and depending if u want raws or not yoyu type in "eg.one peice ep 45 (add RAW if u want a raw)"

5.then start making ur amv ^^

here is a useful anime torrent website i use ^^

ok as a first i might go for windows movie maker for starters ^^

1. make sure yu pick a song relative to the anime
2.for first time AMV making start with things that are effective yet simple like a flash or change of colour.
3.as i hav answered in someone elses question to download raws use torrents. fast and effective.
4.dont do things off topic (like a sad song with random happy scenes)
5.try to differ the scenes unless u think its effective.
6.if u think its a pain in the ass and a waste of time- dont make one-youll only be dissapionted.
7.try ur best ^^ ill be looking forward toa finish product
