Only 5? Bah.. I'll give you five and add five more to it..lol.
But, the first five are, indeed, my favorites.

Usagi from Sailor Moon
-- My very first anime, and I just grew attached to her character and, even to this day (12 years later) I still consider her to be the best character.

-- He's a great character. He's the type that is willing to stand his ground for what he believes in and for his friends. *nods*

-- He's just a good character! Despite trying to seem like he's indifferent to everything, he will be the first to stand up for people, his friends, and his family. That's why his friends are
incredibly loyal to him.

Tsuna from Katekyo Hitman REBORN!
-- He annoyed me in the begining, but he grew on me enough to make it into my top 5.
Although cowardly and he likes to complain, he's still someone who is loyal to the people around him. He's also the type that can change people's opinions by showing off how awesome he is..lol.
5)
Kyoko from Skip Beat
-- She just cracks me up so much. My word, in EVERY manga I have laughed my head off because of her. Plus, she's such a great character that you can, actually, feel the pain she feels when she shows that heart-breaking face.
