i think its important to discuss the history of nationalism, but discussing it in this context is pointless
no matter how educated in asian culture i will always believe western is superior, that is because i have been raised in Quebec, and i was taught at a French school. Its the same for asian people, they may attend English schools in North America but if they were raised in an asian culture they will believe their culture is always superior.

the only reason why asian pride is so annoying is because there is so many of them.

im tan, but i think it okay..since i play sports..it normal
my hair is black..it natural color since i like taking care of my hair

Oh and btw, I'm full Asian and I have really light hair (sandy brown/light strands of blond) so don't assume all Asians dye their hair.

I think somebody on this thread said that Viets do this the most (too lazy to find the post/quote it >.>) and I think that's kinda true to some extent. I always see Vietnamese people going "woo! azn pride!" while koreans/chinese/japanese don't flaunt it that much...but I could be wrong -_-

But it's not like ONLY asians are too proud of their race. My world history teacher is like, WAY TOO PROUD OF BEING CANADIAN. =O
The front of the classroom door is totally plastered with the Canadian flag and stuff to the point where you can't even tell it's a door anymore!

So I don't think ONLY asian's have pride issues...but I just ignore it. It's just like the Narutards and weaboos- ignore them and you'll find it's not much of a problem after all.

I like Asians. I'm Asian. But sometimes people can be really.. excited, about it. I agree-- to a certain extent. I am proud to be what I am but I choose not to flaunt it. Or get an "AZN PRIDE" tattoo like I know some guy did.. but I admit, I used to have a lot of "azn" and "pnai" in my usernames before this one.. oh, and lots of X's. But I'm not gonna tell anyone to shut up and stop, no matter how annoying or funny I find it, "to each his own" I say. If they wanna act like that, they can act like that. So long as it's not overstepping any boundaries, I'll just.. ignore it.. also, I don't like dyeing my hair.. I like black.. a lot.. I just wish my hair was still a "virgin" :(

But.. who says you can't have pride for samurai if you're not Japanese? Aside from you, of course. I think samurai are rather noble. I have pride for all Asian cultures, not just mine.. I just show it in a different way. Or lack of showing..
