well, the answer is obviously yes and no, cuz it definitely adds to the drama and makes the anime more interesting, but at times, it gets really frustrating when u don't agree with the pairing or something like that. but, i think that an anime would probably lose some of its appeal if it didn't have any love triangles thrown into the plot. >-<
