Ture But she has to look over both of them. I know wat ur trying to say: Get More Mods and Remove all license anime. But the thing ish when all of the License anime gone, There will be barely no good anime to watch.

Exmple: Naruto was Licensed by ShoPro Entertainment and If they wanted Naruto gone, Then most of CR user will not bother to come cuz like 80% of CR user watches naruto. and The same gose for Bleach and D Gray Man! But why doesn't Shinji just Pay the Licensing companies and Buy some of there Popular shows?

it would cost a lot for shinji to buy a licensed anime as these animes are viewed by millions of people , thus he has to pay a lot of money. do you know roughly how much it cost for TV stations to buy licensed anime and show them on TV.

This sounds like another Napster-type issue to me. The music industry tried to shut Napster down cold, but after a probation period off line, Napster came back, "selling" the music for 99cents per song. CR could solve the problem completely if they charged a single penny for anyone wanting to view/download anime. See, if you pay for it, you legally own it, regardless of how much you had to pay. The problem with anime sites is...they are jealous that THIS SITE is so popular and managed to get X amount of money that THEY aren't getting, due to higer prices of something THEY sell.

Any company that wants to shut down fansub sites is dumb. It is major free viral marketing. Many animes wouldn't even see the light of day if it wasn't for fansubbers. I don't like to be mean but we have a bunch of dumb execs in companies that try and shut down fansubbers and sites that distribute fansubbed materials.

Youtube and Veoh have both had their fare share of lawsuits, and Crunchy is such a blinking target, guess it's just CR's turn. If Veoh and Youtube can stay afloat, sure Crunchy can. There are worse on the other sites.

And I agree with bakaranger, fansubs do help open up their series/music to wider audiences..for free! They don't even have to pay professional translators. They should be happy about that lol

Cruncyroll doesn't force people to pay to be members on the site and members are not forced to give donations.

Shinji said that "Crunchyroll originally started as a site for fun, it was a pure site that simply wanted everyone to experience the culture and joy that is asian media" (http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-103584/Crunchyroll-is-now-AD-FREE.html).

Having these videos online introduces unknown anime to countries outside of Japan that don't have direct access (meaning not shown on TV) to these animes. In a way it's a form of advertisement for the anime and it makes the potential anime buyer aware of that certain title, thus it will make them want to buy the stuff connected to that certain anime (for example plushies, keychain, DVDs, mangas, games, etc) through means of online buying or though local stores if it gets licensed.

Don't blame Crunchyroll. Don't blame the mods for not being able to remove licensed stuff quickly because they have their own real lives too and they're not robots who can check each and every uploaded vid if it's licensed or not. And you can't blame people for wanting to share what they have.

Closing down Cruncyroll will not stop people from sharing what they want, be it licensed or not.

Good argument, one major flaw. It's true that CR is in a way advertising Anime titles to foreign countries outside of Asia. The problem is that about 90% of the people who are being "advertised" to don't buy plushies or keychains, let alone DVD's. The companies and producers who made the certain Anime would lose more money than their making because too many people are watching it for free instead of buying merchandise or purchasing it themselves to watch at home. In order to make up for the loss of money they would have to up the price on their merchandise like mad, then hardly anyone would pay for it. I'm in America......not too many hardcore Anime otaku's, if any, are here. It's the same thing with downloading music from the internet. The artist would lose money because less and less people are downloading their songs instead of purchasing it. I love CR and other sites similar to this, but in truth sites like these are basically leaches feeding off other people's work to help themselves. If this site does close down due to copyright and licensed, it would probably be due to Mod's not deleting the specific licensed media in time. Other than letting the licensed stuff slide so more people can watch it more I can't see the reason it takes to long to delete it......the all mighty delete button does not wait for others....XD
