i go to a private school. good education, less drama, helps make good friends, GOOD FOOD, and i went to a public school in elementary and it sucked! hella lot of bullies in there! and the teachers in the private schools are strict but help you alot, and some of the teachers there are actually FUNNY!

I'd say public cuz most students who gets kicked out of other schools and can afford private schools go there....

My school is one of them they just like money... And what kind of a private school makes a laboratory for display only they never let us use the lab.....

well I went to public elementary school then private everything else and I kindof wish I stayed at a public school, but that is mostly because my school now is all girls, so I guess co-ed public school is the best- easier to get into colleges and more academic help (just dont go to single-ed schools)

i can't really say since i haven't been to a public school.. but based on some of my friends experience, they say they learn more in private schools.. though some would say it was a bit difficult for them to socialize (not realizing that it is actually them who isolates themselves).

Don't get me started.
I went to public school until I finished my sophomore year of high school. My mom put me in private school because we both got sick of the gangs, metal detectors, fights, loss of privileges due to those fights, shootings, teachers quitting on us due to those dumbasses that are in our class, and not to mention lowering the standards for those who cannot perform well. I mean, the school used to be one of the best public schools when my sister attended 10 years ago. It even had international studies like Russian, Japanese, and French. Over the years, it got worse. We don't have any variety anymore and many of the teachers quit because they couldn't take it. I think because that "no child left behind" policy has screwed us over.
The school became a 75% Caucasian school to a 95% Black school. Why did it get worse when more Black people attended? I know the answer. I hate to say it because I am a Black person myself.... >__>
When I went to a Catholic private school my junior year. It wasn't any better. My friends from my old school ditched me because they thought that I thought I was better than them. I couldn't make any friends at the private school because everybody was into tanning, money, Abercrombie, who's parents are the richest, dating, getting drunk at Taylor's house when his parents are out of town, and who lost their virginity. These people formed their own "cliques." At least at my old school I made friends who were from different backgrounds and liked many other things besides those listed above. The students at the private school were close-minded. Many of them used the stereotypes to describe how Black people are. I haven't been called any racial slurs, thank God, but I could feel the tension among them. They all thought that public schools were hell, which is not true. The media in my city portrays suburban and private schools as safe and nice and city schools the abyss. There are still some good public schools in the city.
I did, however, get better education. My teachers were tough and there were more opportunities to take different classes like microbiology and forensic science. I even got a chance to intern at my mom's job my senior year. We were graded on hours attending and reviews by the staff. I don't know very many public schools that allow that.
We had some pretty smart students at my old school. Despite all the crap it had... one girl graduated at the age of 16 and went to Harvard, this other guy was really smart and went to Georgetown, and another girl went to Harvard. The private school class had twins for the highest GPA graduates and they only went to Notre Dame and Chicago, not to say that those are good schools, but compared to Harvard? Yeah....
Private school does have smaller classes, but I'd have to say that socialization is what matters. I noticed that I performed better in my old school because I had many friends and I loved my teachers. Private school I became a loner and hated being around stuck-up brats. I actually regret switching schools. Public schools allows you to meet people from different backgrounds and not just rich brats who need their parents' money to survive.
I could go on and on. Bottom line, public school is much better.
