Even though I know that thats basically what they are... still, I don't know. I'm definatly ganna keep checking out these manga! EDIT: just thought that I would add that I actually really love blood+(well the anime anyways because I haven't read the manga yet)

Try blood+ its really good! both anime and manga! It's not really shounen i think... after that do the blood- city of blood hunters i think... it's a oneshot Vampire game too! but it's not about the vampire it actually has a small part in the plot of the manga but it is quite relevant for the ending... Model - this is a manwha... it's very serious but it's about a vampire named micheal Asa mo hiru mo yoru mo - oneshot vampire manga for violent ones, there's hellsing Rosario the vampire is not my type because of the panty shots and fanservice but it's ok

That has recently gotten me hooked. http://www.crunchyroll.com/showmanga?id=258 If you want ultra Violent then you have to go with the classic Vampire Hunter D "Trinity Blood" is Awesome too. I'm surprised I'm the first to mention it.

I'm surprised I'm the first to mention it. I wanted it to be good, but I found trinity blood insanely boring and there was no real climax or well constructed plot. I'm sure the trinity blood novels are a lot better in those regards and the anime may have tried to cover too much.
