I was poking around the web when i found this article:

I'm not Christian but his seems like it could be a pretty coll idea, some people are saying its a desecration of the bible though, personally i don't care if it goes either way, however I am curious about what people her think. Whats next a anime bible???

That's pretty difficult cause there will be tons of new manga being churn out every day or week

Yeah I just saw this too and I'm not overly surprised. I grew up in the church so I'm used to seeing a slew of "christian alternatives" for what's popular with mainstream youth culture. It usually lags a few years behind though.

There are/were christian alternatives to western comic books, magic cards, video games, harry potter, goosebumps (the old R.L. Stine books), any popular form of music imaginable, hell I could keep going for quite a while.

No idea what the hell they're cloning now as I haven't had anything to do with it for quite a few years. Thank god those dark days of my youth are long over.

what are you, nuts? there is plenty here to discuss, especially since this place is filled with brainwashed kiddie christian zealots. it's better than "who can eat the most ramen" and all the other gaia worthy faggotry here.

I'd guess that it would be the same as the bible but just a different media type, what i like about it however is that it shows
1)Christians are rethinking their orthodox approach.
2)The manga/anime subculture is being more widely recognized.

I didn't know that this has been widely done before, interesting all religion is is a communication of ideals/ideas really so I'm not all that surprised, I am surprised that I've never heard of them though.

The article isn't loading for me, but this thread made me burst into a fit of giggles. I have this image in my mind of a totally bishie-fied Jesus complete with sparkles and those shoujo bubbles.

There is nothing wrong with this thread billy.
Except the overuse of '?' in the title.

they're not really rethinking their approach at all, it's just more of the same shit they do with every other trend. back when spawn was popular i saw some christian comics drawn in a similar style. i'd say it's a sign that they're recognizing it as a popular trend, but that's about it.

okay... what about the woman in the upper left, i thought the church was against that little clothing, I'm beginning to wonder if this is more commercially oriented or more religious, have they ever came out with a "commercialized" bible?<---- see one question mark! see!
