On VII, did you fight Emerald and Ruby?

yea. i beat ruby but i couldnt beat emerald. i gave up lol

Haha, you serious?
You know beating Emerald is a lot easier then beating Ruby? Though, if you don't know the "secrets" to fighting them then it won't do you any good.

Here's one of the quicker ways to kill Emerald: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWd38aVtlyI
I cheated to kill Emerald that way--because I didn't want to spend all that time trying to get the "required" stuff.

Though the first time I killed him, probably 5-7 years ago, it took me 'bout 23-25 minutes. I killed him without cheating this way.
Probably took me 15-20 or so minutes to kill Ruby.

Anyways, if you cheat, killing Emerald is easier then most of the fights you'll fight and I don't think there's much you can do to be able to kill Ruby in a few minutes.

cool. thanks

Haha, no problem!
You have time to try any of 'em yet?

i dont think im going to try them lol

That's no fun, but then I guess if you don't have the games, there's not much you can do.

i have the game. its just that i havnt played it for a long time

Maybe you should; trying these different things may just make the game more fun or may just give you a reason to get back to these games.

Well, I see what you're saying, but then that's only if you got EVERYTHING in it.
Beating an adventure game's not too hard, just takes some time, but then it's not 'bout beating the game, it's 'bout finding everything. Like VII, VIII, IX, X; VII's got the American WEAPONS, VIII's got something--haha, IX's got chocobo and Hades/Ozma, X's got the Battle Arena.

I honestly loved FF VII alot the characters and overall gameplay and the side quests was really good....but the only thing that kinda bugged me was the time it took in a battle to draw magic and such from a foe...i know that drawing magic was the essential part of that game cuz when you equip a summon it helps up the status which is nice but it was kinda time consuming. i have very little patience.

Honestly, FFVIII was fabulous but the thing though was having to junction for like 1/2 an hour and also trying to get 100 of each spell from every monster, man that was hard, and what was worse was that my cousin kept nagging me to do it

FFVII was overrated yet my sister is absolutely consumed in its darkness.(LOL) I think that FFVII was such a hit because of its NEW graphics and 3-D ish system.

One thing that i didnt like about FFVIII, didnt have enough sidequests!! FFIX on the other hand was designed to be played for its sidequests. Seriously, i did a Quina only Ozma challenge and barely survived, that was good feeling thou.

It isnt that hard if u decide to get 99 dark matter, and boost up certain abilities such as frog drop to 9999 damage. What i did was lvl quina for hp to 99. can't remeber how much hp but enough to survive flare star. Then finish the friendly creatures sidequest so that doomsday damages ozma himself. XD Equip a pumice piece to gain hp from it aswell. Equip certain abilities such as auto-haste, auto-life and others. Then the only attack that can kill you is meteor. If you run out of mp use dark matters. The always do 9999. Just dont get into beserk. Works for most, havent done it with dagger and eiko thou. They both dont seem to have abilities that power-up quickly. Eiko is better than dagger because of the pheonix spell.

hmmmm, they way i see it, you're either a FFVII or a FFVIII fan.....but 8 rocks my socks off. The game play just had this dark sense through it, even in happy times, and the music, as always, was GORGEOUS, like The Castle, or Succession of Witches. And personally i loved the junction system, cause in the end, Squall devastated with Shiva, and Rinoa just completely dominated everyone with Eden. Not to mention Rinoa's a sorceress.

OOHH! But seriously ppl, watch Dead Fantasy on youtube! I hate Yuna, but it even made HER look badass fighting Kasumi from Doa! lol. You wont be disappointed, i promise.

Disagree. It's possible to like both 7 and 8 or hate both and like another game completely. For instance, I like both; one of my best buddies hates both and loves FF 5 and 6 from the Anthologies.

I see what you mean. I do like both FF7 and FF8 but I preferred FF8 more though. The music was better, graphics were better. The junction system is not that great however when junctioning magic because obviously when you use the magic, the stat it is junctioned to will go down. The GF's were great in that game too! Getting some of them was a pain though like Tonberry =_= but it was all good. Kicking Omega Weapon's ass made my year when I first done it as well!!!!!!! This is obviously just my opinion so I don't want any FF7 fan-maniacs quoting me and telling me that FF7 is better.

I think it was called FF3 in America when it was first released but everywhere else it was called 6. I know it was something like that. Chances are, someone will correct me on this

No, you are correct. It was released in America as FF3 because that's how it went sequentially when it was released here. We never received the actual copy of FF3, 4, or 5 because they were deemed 'too difficult' or were not in cartridge format because America was still running on the SNES and not on the disc machines that were popular around the world at the time.
