ok, heres the deal

I SWEAR TO GOD, THERE WILL BE PRIZES HANDED OUT.

But my 3 judges have gone MIA or are too busy : ( school, family, and other things have come up that makes it almost impossible to judge. I want this done in the next week, so if possible, I want to find two judges.

Post your qualifications, and realize that there is over 100 entries to read.

Thanks,

Jorlwind

That's 2 judges, excluding me right Jorlwind?

To Everyone:
I've decided to give up my own chances of winning to help out with the judging. I realize you guys have been waiting for results just as long as I have, and it'd be awesome if we could get this out of the way to start prospective future events.

Qualifications:
I have a lot of time on my hands, especially at work. I get things done fairly quickly, especially when given a due date. I've already read a large majority of the entries, and given my personal feedback on some of them via postings (forum ones and DL links only so far). I've been an executive editor for school newspapers and magazines since the start of highschool, and now I've been attending university for 3 years. I've been writing poetry and stories since I was in grade 8, with a large compendium of finished works. Given this, you can rest assured that I'll be able to pull through with the judging.

Personal Bias:
As an editor and writer myself, I've been able to extract and segregate my biased opinion whenever it is required of me to do so. Hence, I will give my best to ensure you that I will not let personal issues influence my judging. However, if you wanted to know what my personal bias is, I will readily make it available:

Academic:
- I study Mathematics in the University of Waterloo, with a lot of Economics and few Computer Science courses included.
- I'm in a co-op program which allows me to alternate between full-time studies and full-time work terms.
- For co-op, I've been an office assistant, an English/French QA Analyst (Web-App. Tester), and a Java Developer; all of which have allowed me to apply and further enhance my editing skills.
- I was a gifted student in elementary, and an IB student in highschool.

Interests:
- Singing/Writing/Dancing (Hip-hop/Break-dancing)
- Computers & Online Gaming
- CR stuff... duh

I'll stop here before I go on a rant... >.>

Anyways, "yoroshiku onegai shimasu" *Bow*

Do you still need another one ? I think I can read some stories for you .
I`m not sure if I`m much help but I`m in academic English and my
English teacher is the head of the English department .
I know what to look for in a piece of writing , somewhat .
1. Is the plot too cliched ?
2. Is the grammar and spelling understandable ?
3. Are the quotations in the right place ?
There`s more to that but I`ve forgotten some . I`ve read and sent reviews
to most fics I`ve read on ff.net . It`s been a long time since I read something .
I`d be glad to help out in any way I can . I have to kill this boredom of mine .

hey do u guys still need judges?

I just finished my 3rd year of english literature.

I have read many books, mostly fantasy, and mostly the fantasy books with a bit more originality in them, as well as alot of fan fiction, alot of anime, and a large chunk of manga and comics.

I have alot of time because exams just finished for me and it's summer vacation :D

If u still need help reading some of the stories i'm willing to help.

email me at [email protected], for details, if help is still needed, If not, good luck for the winner. =P
