It's true, but once piece is still older than rave master.
So I'm still not really sure about what happened there.
But I don't think it's a big deal that 2 manga are using the same style.
Just like theres a million that use the super generic anime style.

The art styles and main protagonist are the only things that are similar.

erm... One piece is by Oda, while Fairytail & Monster Soul are by Hiro .
I mistaken it too before when the release of the 1st pulished cover of Fairytail as Oda's work

Dude, I just love Fairy Tail! One Piece is still above it, but I still love FT. I've even started my own doujinshi about it, starring my own OC and the rest of Fairy Tail guild. After a while, my drawing style is becoming a bit Fairy Tail-ish...

It's great!
Even though it's more recent than One Piece, it got me trying One Piece, an anime I long avoided because of the 4kids english dub long ago.
Now I love both!!!
Best thing about Fairy Tail is the random comedy xD

I really love Fairy Tail. Although everybody said it's a ripoff of OP, i think it's more like Rave Master. Natsu really looks like Haru although the haircolor are different and Lucy looks like Elie and Plue from Rave Master is also there as a stellar spirit of Lucy. Musica somehow resembles Gray although they aren't look alike that much their power were somehow similar. Like Gray's magic is ice molding and Musica's power is silver molding with the use of Silver Rhythm. And when I first saw Siegneil/Gerard, I really thought that he really looks like Siegheart. And well the term Heart kreuz where Erza gets her armor, i think it came from the print on Elie's shirt. And the term Aetherion and Oracion Seis i think it came from Rave. Well that's all i think what i notice.
But this manga is really interesting, I have many things to wait for. Why do the dragons disappeared on July 7 X777? Why does Mist Gun looks exactly like Gerard? And what kind of magic does Gildartz have and how does he look like? And many things to find out like other Dragonslayers, Dark Guild and other from the 10 Holy Mages.
Well, I really love Fairy Tail 'cause this was one of the first manga that has no anime yet that I've read seriously.
