I never do. No one reads manga at my school or at any other neighbouring school, or at least, I'm not aware of anyone doing so. I don't know, it's just that manga's pretty much unknown in my country -- I only personally know two people who aren't Japanese and read manga. I'm usually busy during breaks with homework I should have done ages ago anyway... heh -_-;;
I remember, I did take Cardcaptor Sakura in Japanese to school once years ago when I was ~9 because our teacher said to bring a reading book. I saw nothing wrong with it then, because I technically was reading, but the teacher got mad. I guess it doesn't count if it's in another language, and if it's a comic book... 8D;; -shot-

I do occasionally. People stare at you, and get so interested because they are not accustomed to the manga. It's a pain. I mainly do my reading at home though, a more appropiate place for it.

i did wen it was my first day of 8th grade. the teacher asked whats special about me? and i said i like watching anime and reading manga. and then dis guy said WHAT'S A MANGO?!

I always bring my manga to school, especially when I didn't have enough time to finish it on the weekends, or want to try out some new art styles.
The good thing is that my writing and literature teacher and her son read manga as well, so she lets me slide, and even asks for suggestions every now and then ;D !
