First of all I think it's important to set it straight: the fact that you can click the HQ button and have it instantly load is either a bug or a mistake made by whomever programs this site. It's incredibly obvious, for two reasons:

1) The person whom I assume manages this site, shinji, detailed how you would be able to stream massive HQ files without killing the server. He said you would have to download a client to do so. However, you obviously never have to do this. A browser has too many security features to let a site connect you with a p2p network or install a client without your permission. Put simply, it's too easy to watch videos.

2) None of you must understand p2p or this would also be clear: You shouldn't be able to download all videos at the constant pace your internet provider allows. I assume the streaming p2p network would act as follows: The site first has to give the video data to at least one computer or, alternatively, multiple computers at a slower speed due to bandwidth limitations. The person who received this data would then upload it to all the other people who wanted to watch that particular episode of that particular series at that particular moment. Several flaws arise, one being that only one person gets to download at a constant rate from the CR server, the result being that because most people who use this site have low upload speeds most people would be downloading HQ files very slowly when watching unpopular anime where there are few people to upload their data to you and very popular anime like Naruto and Bleach and bleach would max out your download rate instantly due to the oodles of people uploading their data all at once. However, because obscure anime often download fast and popular ones sometimes slow, you can see the device is not implemented.

It's possible I'm incorrect, but only if shinji worded his original post INCREDIBLY incompetently, which is unlikely. Anyway, now that I've (hopefully) convinced you that this situation is an error, I'd like to say that you are downloading directly from the server, meaning every time you watch an episode of Higurashi in H.264 beta you are DESTROYING this sites bandwidth. There is no way a site kept supported entirely by donations could handle such massive bandwidth use(see: stage6 R.I.P.[I noticed someone earlier in the thread said something about using stage6, sorry buddy but it shut down last month]). Therefore, you are presented with a couple options. If you are a filthy leach you will want to stream as much H.264b as you can before someone realizes their mistake/looks at their bandwidth bill(ouch). I fall into this category(I'm even using a bugmenot account). If you want to support the site it would be best to donate heavily now especially so it will not be as troublesome to recover from this mistake.

On those saying they will lose incentive to donate or have already donated, first of all you can rest assured that when the REAL p2p system is integrated(possibly thrown away) it will be a small shadow before direct downloading, featuring poor speeds and instability. Secondly, you are disgusting maggots of society who are the reason why everything good on the internet must be paid for. Don't you understand that without your donations this site won't exist, meaning you can't even watch low quality anymore? 15 dollars is one or two hours of work for more anime than you could watch in a lifetime and the price of a few pizzas(5-5-5 deal at Dominoes, hell yeah!) yet you scum act like you're making an investment. I'm being a huge hipocrate on this, but at least I consciously make the Internet a crappy place unlike all of you worthless people.

My final question: Are all of you people children? Do us all a favor and don't post on the internet until you are an adult or at least capable of spelling or making a complete sentence(Rereading this, I sure sound like an asshole! If I saw this four years ago I would be fuming). Take a few years to study the internet and expand your vocabulary to the point where your posts won't be so damn ugly. Please note I think you definitely shouldn't stop using the internet or stop claiming to be thirteen despite being 11(Why do these questions even exist? Through trial and error kids learn lying works best) , if you don't than you'll end up like the adults on this forum whose spelling is trash. I suggest these people to do the same. MOD READ THIS: Just in case I'm reported, I'd like to say that I haven't read the rules or anything, but I definitely wouldn't want you to have to read all that to find a reason to ban me or whatever. I'm unsure of whether this place is strict or lax. So here's a list of things that may've violated whatever rules may or may not exist:
1)Admitting to using a bugmenot account.
2)Insulting your forum members and donors.
3)Telling children they shouldn't post on the internet? Maybe that's stretching it.
4)Use of low level profanity.
5)Admitting to not reading rules or maybe a TOS you had to sign when making an account.

Maybe there's more but that should be enough to ban me, I think. Oh great, now I won't even have time to watch anime since I must sleep. Stupid urge to rant. I actually intended to rant about the use of smilies ^_^ and mispellings and incorrect use of japanese arigato gosaimas, but let's save that for another day/never.

You realized obviously, with all them FireFox video downloading extensions, that people can have FULLSCREEN even if they don't donate ?

Anyway CR highquality/h264 isn't all that high quality, LQ for a 24 min worth of show is about 30mb and HQ/h264 is similar at twice that size (60mb), in comparison sites like veoh, megavideo files are over 100-150m. even new sites like juzvideo.com where I dl gundam00 ep23 has a size of 106mb. Point being, I was happy to donate and get mediocre 'high quality' videos before. Now I'm pissed that I didn't even have to donate to get those mediocre videos. I like free stuff, I never even 'donated' or paid for anything on the net before CR.

I just joined like days ago and decided to donate right after, that was a leap of faith.

HOWEVER, this is very generous of u, shinji. I'm sure my friends, family will appreciate this greatly. I know I would have been 3 days ago. LOL.
