I really don't understand why christmas is so important. That's been bugging me for awhile.

I need help understanding that.

Well, to alot of people, Christmas isnt important at all. But for those who think it is important, it is a time to get together with your family. ( And, for the selfish, get gifts. ) Its also a time of year to show that you care about people. Although you can do that all year round, its just different on Christmas. Thats why Christmas is important to other people.

In a religious aspect, Christmas is presumably Christ's birthday. To many Christians, it's important since Christ is the savior and they honor him by celebrating his birthday. Like, your birthday is an important day, isn't it? Well, to Christians, it's an important day cuz it's the birthday of their savior, the one who took their sins and will deliver them to heaven or something like that. idk, i'm not so religious forgive me if i'm wrong. It's a time to give presents and a time to be together. It's a holiday just like any other.

Thats all correct, Im not religious myself, but I was forced through catholic school for a few years. So yeah, that is another reason that Christmas is so important. Good post Aeshataro, I completely forgot the religious stuff!

Actually it is the day to celebrate his birth since it isn't his real birthday. I am christian and yeah that is mostly right since he is the man who died for all our sins so we could have a chance to be with him.
And Christmas is just a merry time and for people who can't get why it is merry this is because they don't try to make it merry. i have made this conclusion through observation.
