What? Why? What's wrong with it? You probably watch two women going at it like dogs, why can't we? I mean, it's not REAL LIFE. (although I probably wouldn't mind..)

nope lesbos don't interest me in the least bit i couldn't even stand watching strawberry panic

Well, nobody liked Strawberry panic. (mostly Otakus) Anyway, okay. I still like yaoi! (If only for the sight of two bishies on top of each other)

U have not read yaoi until you read hwd

That's one of Nitta Youka's, right? I didn't like it. And I'd disagree; I hardly think of that piece as the defining piece of yaoi. Even of Nitta Youka's work, I think When a Man Loves a Man is better. My favorite of her works though, is definitely Casino Lily.

Favorite yaoi manga, huh. Hard to say. I think Empty Heart by Masara Minase is far and above one of my favorite. All of her work has gorgeous art and rather touching stories.

In addition, I also really like a lot of Touko Kawai's work, most notably Keijijyou na Bokura, though I'd classify that more as shounen-ai.

Fuwa Shinri's work is clearly not to be overlooked either. There's Tsumasaki ni Kiss and its related stories Zettai Unmei Houteishiki and Gravity Eyes, as well as Yasashii Kankei and its sequel Perfect World. Ohana to Chocolate though, was the first work from Fuwa Shinri that I read and loved, so can't forget that. :P

When talking about yaoi manga, Yamane Ayano simply must be mentioned. Viewfinder, The Guide of Love, Crimson Spell, etc., all are great. I think she was the first yaoi mangaka I actively searched for, though I think I've kinda moved on by now.

There are lots of other great mangaka - Yamakami Riyu, Chitose Piyoko, Bohra Naono, Honjyo Rie, Mika Sadahiro, Minami Haruka, Higashino You, Oumi Shinano, Tateno Makoto, etc. :]

I THINK I LOVE YOU. You just listed like, almost all my favorite mangaka.

Casino Lily WAS pretty awesome. And I loved their cameo appearance in Harudaki.

Masara Minase is also on my list of favorites. I have a ton of her stuff. Haven't looked at it in a while, but I wanna revisit her work again now.

And Touko Kowai? Her stories can a little angsty, but the art and the happy endings make up for it.

And like I said- Yamane Amano- she's huge and pretty mainstream for a reason. I love her art- it's stunning.

Nakamura Shungiku I also love, though her art style does take a little getting used to. Junjou Romantica- who doesn't know of it? Ebihara Yuri's stuff is also incredibly cute, though almost pwp. I love Sakurai Shushushu and Takagura Row for their crackiness and Takanaga Hinako's manga is adorable to the max.

And Mika Sadahiro's Under Grand Hotel is one of my favorites.

I think I'm gonna go back and reread all those awesome titles. <3

I mostly read shounen-ai but I've read some yaoi as well.

My favorite at the moment is definitely Totally Captivated by Yoo Hajin. Beautiful art and fresh story. Also very funny and tasteful. (:

Kohitsuji Hokaku Keikaku. It's both funny and hot as hell.
The Sex Therapist.
Only the Ring Finger Knows. It's shonen-ai.
A Toy with Sadness.
Fake. Shonen-ai mostly.

Yeah and there's alot more. I just can't remember all the names. ^_^

Yaoi is so very yummy.

*high fives* I actually really like angsty yaoi. Touko Kawai, Yamakami Riyu, Fuwa Shinri & Masara Minase all have an above average amount of angst, and their work is pretty.

I would have to agree with Takanaga Hinako also - Bukiya na Silent is adorable. Takakura Row's art is gorgeous, but her work is a little too kinky for my tastes.
