I could think of some novels that was turned into animes...

Count of Monte Cristo
Tom Sawyer
Huck Fin....

So they pretty much did make literature into animes...

So thats its Japanese title.... I watched it on Animax and it was titled Count of Monte Christo so i thought that was its original title already...
I also seem to recall an anime of the three musketeers, or was it man in the iron mask??... cant remember since i was just an elementary student back then...

as long as its the right literature it should work. The problem is that the majority of westerns r very difficult to adapt to anime

yeah i read about the playboy of the western world and im not to sure if its a literature documentation, i actually had to study playboy as apart of my media module in college,'fact' the first issue of playboy- had marylin monroe on the front and that it was thanks to playboy(or masturburation and tea) that got the english and americans through the war. so its rather as a past event in history...but who cares, that would be awesome...
