Coz that enemy is unbeatable ( that evil guy ) >.< saikano and elfen lied.. its a good storyline.. its nice why would u wished for anyone not to die its pretty well done tho =/... i mean.. is there really any point?? no offense i rather wished the saikano.. that main guy to die.. so that the world is realli perished.. no one alives

I saw probably over 300 animes now and cant really remember all names. i dont know if anyone saw the OVA: Iriya no Sora UFO no Natsu, damn it was so sad at the ending, you didnt saw that coming. there sure are many other characters who shouldnt die, but thats the art of anime. and btw in the anime Elfen Lied, Nyu/Lucy didnt die (maybe lucy mentally died if anyone know what i mean) in the mange she died so dont know what to say ...
