I believe the universe is not endless.. But it's limits is far beyond what we know of... But we can never really say what is true or what is untrue since we do not have proof of either. So this is an unanswerable question unless the end of the universe will happen within one's lifetime.

I'm not sure yet. I've never really convinced myself one way or the other. It seems like ti could be endless... I mean, look at all the space. It's just... there. Nothing. Literally nothing. And if there is an end, what's on the other side? Or is the universe just like a all with us on the inside?

But my Chem teacher once said that some random scientist think the Universe is a set size, but continues to get larger and larger. I think. Who knows.

I doubt it's endless we are just far to small to get an entire picture of all the galaxies within this universe as far as we know our universe could be one tiny part of something massive so our universe has an end to it somewhere.
Maybe we are just as tiny as grains of sand to some larger Form or essence of being either that or our universe could be small compared to many millions more out there in the endless sea of blackness.

Actually, most scientist believe that the universe will end (definitely) in some odd years (I totally forgot.) Well the reason that the universe would end is actually quite simple. As we all know the universe is constantly expanding, which means galaxies are moving further away from each other. The reason why the stars in a galaxy (e.g the milky way galaxy) are not flying out in to space in a straight line is because of something called dark matter. Galaxies are constantly spinning and dark matter keeps the stars uniform to it's shape. But all this dark matter and "star stuff" will run out or lose it's energy somewhere down the road. When all the stars have become white dwarfs or black holes there will be no energy to fuel the universe thus the end of the universe as the last of the stars fade away. Another theory is that the universe will collapse upon itself when it cannot expand anymore. Basically all the galaxy and stars will collide with each other or get so close to each other that everything will incinerate.

tl;dr = the universe is not endless and it will end (not that we will survive to experience it imo.)

I'm a believer of the Multiverse/Metaverse hypothesis. That there are parallel universes, a world within a world, a universe within a universe. In astrophysics, it is proven that there are galaxies within a galaxy, so would it be that different with the universe? Plus, the mystery of the black hole and the white hole. Where does it all go? I doubt the things that the black hole suck in would just undergo combustion. The black hole has imminent amount of hydrogen, and in it, celestial bodies would form.
I think the universe is an 'endless' body in some way. It is expanding still. It's a mystery. It's one of those mysteries that can never be solved especially by man kind. Maybe the universe is playing a cosmic joke on us. But who knows? The fact that it's there, and that we cannot explore it further, maybe just maybe it is endless.

But who's to say that it will end? Some scientists say that it will. Where's the proof? To look at 'endless' in another angle, the universe is probably endless in regards to us humans. We would endlessly wonder about it. We would endlessly want to know more about it. And maybe that is what an endless universe is.

In matter concept, the universe will reach an End. Unless there's some gigantic titan-daddy size atom spliting device out there,

But an Endless Universe has already reached it's End, for being Endless.

It totally is endless!
Endless in space, but not endless in time.

Has anyone read "The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy"? Its described pretty good in it!

I'd be curious how you would prove that the universe is endless, and not just really big. If it is finite then I guess its just a matter of coming up with technology capable of observing the limits. I heard an interesting theory involving consciousness being the building blocks for existence and any observance/discovery of the edges of known space would simply create more, harder to observe space (and similarly observing the smallest particle would create an even smaller particle).

Either way it seems pretty hard to prove something is infinite, as infinity transcends simple empirical observations...I personally believe the universe loops somewhere and you end up on the other side or something. But yeah, that is stuff is for people much smarter than me.
