Warning: Might have gay names.

___In a place far far away and a long ago there used to be a country named Rain. Rain was named for its sadness. You see the people who lived on Rain were hopeless; Groomy, the King of Rain, stopped supplying them with magic for happiness. And instead, he used the magic for his own selfish needs. But then surprisingly, there still was one family thats still with the magic for happiness. The Jollys, hearing them all over the small town of Drip, everyone envied there laughter. "Ahahaha!" they would say, "Ahohoho!" they would repeat to eachother. Everyone in Drip couldn't stand the happiness and told the King about this.
___"Your majesty," Jester the jester said, "we have found the magic source." Soon after these words the King ordered all of Rain to capture all the happy family of Jolly, in return he would give whomever brought them to him first a tube of happy. "Being happy is not an emotion," he would say, "Being happy is a gift, a thing that is bought." The Jollys new something was wrong, something was out of place, well that might have just been because of their misplaced toothbrush or their misplaced shoes, but they knew. Knowing this, grandfather Smiles said, "Sappy, we must transfer all our magic of happiness to Jun" (Why Jun? I don't know.. -_-) Sappy the father of Jun looked grandfather Smiles and nodded.
___"Magic Magic," Sappy and Smiles chanted, "Come to us! Transfe-er-er..." A bing a boom and bang and there it was, a red cross on a small baby's temple. "Whatevers left of our magic, we must use to teleport him" Sappy said. Bash bash. Soon Jun was out of reach and never to be found by normal humans... Guards from the king came knocking at the Jolly's household, but the magic was already gone. They searched and searched for the last Jolly child but he was yet to be found, who would have guessed he was teleported to a different world all together? Nope, he wasn't. Slippery and wet, salty and a mess, can this little baby really save Rain from the tragicty of the kings hands? ~To the Be Continued.~

Okayy I don't feel like writing anymore. -.-

Tom: I wonder if that’s the element I’ll use…
Wren: Probably not Tom… Hey Lain, how about a little sparring match.
Lain: Wren, when it’s you versus me, it’s never just a sparring match…
Wren: Ha ha, yeah that’s true but Tom needs a demonstration of how two elemental users would fight.
Lain: Well, it has been awhile since I’ve had a good fight…
The trio went up to the mountains standing a little ways from the city so as to have some privacy and avoid any havoc in the city.
Wren: Alright Tom watch us closely. This fight’s bound to get a little intense, just try not to loose us okay?
Tom: Um, okay…
Tom was getting a bit nervous; he remembered the things people said about Wren and Lain when they were fighting. Even though they were just sparring matches, they seemed to fight like two demons possessed. No one seemed to understand why and to this day it remains a mystery.
Wren: Okay… Ready when you are Lain!
Lain started first by sending a quick wave of wind energy at Wren. Wren quickly turned his blade on fire and with a swing of his sword canceled it. Just then, Lain was right in front of him and quickly assaulted him with a flurry of quick slashes. Wren kept a steady defense and was able to move his flaming sword fast enough to block both swords as they came from one angle and then another. Tom was already amazed by their swordplay but there was still more to come. Wren blocked one last time and with a powerful downward slash sent fire bursting to the ground and knocking Lain away. Lain quickly recovered while Wren created a fireball and threw it at Lain, who reacted quickly by creating a wind aura shield with one of his twin blades and then went into a spin as Wren tried to close in and strike him. Following his spin Lain unleashed a small whirlwind from his twin blades as he went into continuous spins. Wren was sent into the air spinning from the whirlwind. Lain then went into an aerial assault but Wren saw this coming and was ready to defend with his sword. As soon as he stopped spinning he blocked one attack then another. Lain picked up speed as he continued his assault using the wind to become even faster. All Wren could see was a green blur speed by every time Lain attacked, his swords boucing off Wren's and sending him higher and higher into the air. Wren used almost perfect timing to deliver a slamming kick that knocked Lain to the ground then, while still airborne, he clinched his hands together and slowly released them to create a powerful fireball. He threw it straight down at the ground resulting in an explosion that blew rocks away and made the trees sway but didn’t burn them, demonstrating the amount of control he had over his fire arts. Tom was almost blown away too but he didn’t even notice, he was stunned by Wren and Lain’s fighting ability. As the explosion subsided Wren and Lain were staring at each other as Tom watched in suspense.
Wren: … Okay, that’s enough…
Wren and Lain put away their weapons and Tom fell over surprised that they were actually able to stop fighting.
Wren: As you saw Tom using the elements effectively can create devastating results. Once we find out what your element is we can start training in that art, until then… I’ll just teach you basic things all demon hunters should know.
Tom: Cool...
Wren: But not today…
Tom: … Figures…
Wren: We’ll start after we’ve taken care of business with Sellema and beaten that Vance guy. Got it?
Tom: Yes. Master…
Tom was getting even more excited at the thought of being able to fight like Wren and Lain could. He knew that they were holding back so as to keep him from harm and imaging how the fight could've went if they weren't made him restless.

This is a part of Chapter 1: Episode 3 in my story.
I should be alot further than I actually am in my story its just that i always read over everything before I write more. Plus I've had some distractions...

Chapter 1: Children of Fate
Episode 1: Demon Hunters
The night was chaotic and demons were rampaging through a town trying to get to a castle located in the center. People were being killed left and right as knights and soldiers tried desperately to keep them away from the castle. In the throne room the royal family was escaping through a secret passage that lead to a garden. From here they were going to escape into the forest. The King looked at his children, a girl and an older boy and he was happy that he was able to escape with them but when he looked at the baby boy the queen was holding he suddenly became angry.
King: You must leave that cursed child here…
Queen: No, I will not!
King: But he’s the reason the demons are here, he’s the…
Queen: How could you be so cruel! Regardless of what he is, he is still my son and I will protect him!
King: … Fine then! We are leaving…
The king took the prince and the young princess with him as they ran leaving the queen alone with the baby. The king was hoping for her to abandon the child and run after them but she did not.
Princess: ... What about mother?
The king didn’t answer he simply held on to the two of them as they disappeared from the queens sight. She looked at the baby who was sound asleep but just then a giant demon came slamming and breaking through trees. The queen was trapped and abandoned, still she stood there boldly ready to protect her child. The demon walked over to her and swung his fist. Just then a swordsman quickly intervened and grabbed the demons arm. He had incredible strength and slammed the demon to the ground then threw it back into the trees.
Swordsman: So they’ve abandoned you… All because of the curse he must bare…
Queen: I won’t leave him. It’s not his fault he was born this way.
Swordsman: That may be true but there is only one way you can truly protect him.
Queen: I know I was preparing for the ritual…
Swordsman: I see, then leave this demon to me and go.
The queen kissed the swordsman on the lips and left without looking back. As the demon recovered from the surprise attack the swordsman pulled out a sword that was glimmering in the moonlight. The demon shot energy from its mouth but the swordsman’s sword quickly changed into a broader looking sword as he swung it and a barrier was erected that dissolved the attack. Then he swung it again and it changed into a leaner sword that gave him incredible speed, he rushed up to the demon and cut its arm off with a powerful and quick slash. It was a clean cut and was so fast no blood appeared until a few seconds after the strike. The demon let out a roar of pain as it became more enraged. The demon took his still attached arm and shoved it into the ground. Then it opened its mouth. The swordsman knew what it was doing and put his sword away. Then he concentrated and hit the ground with his hands causing a symbol to form around him. Then a dragon began rising from the symbol and the swordsman was on its head as its body came into view. The demon launched a beam from its mouth but neither the swordsman nor dragon, were phased at all.
Swordsman: Now Raigore, annihilate!
The dragon shot a wide beam of light from its mouth and it easily overcame the demons beam and as the swordsman ordered annihilated the demon. A brilliant explosion of light followed and as the light spread the baby that was being spirited away opened its eyes revealing eyes of evil.
A young man slowly awoke to the conversation of a young girl and another young man. The girl was trying to wake him by yelling but it wasn’t working.
Melody: Wow, I screamed my loudest too…
Lain: How can he just suddenly fall asleep like this?
Wren: … (Yawn) Man how long was I out?
Lain: … Only for a couple seconds…
Wren: Really? I feel like I’ve been sleeping for days… Well, I guess we can get going now…
Melody: Uh right!
Melody a young and enthusiastic girl, was leading Wren and Lain through a thick forest to her home village, along the way Wren and Lain defended her from demons with their skills as demon hunters and as skilled swordsmen. As the sun was beginning to set the three of them stopped at a cliff.
Wren: So are we close Melody?
Melody: Well… sort of…
Wren: Sort of?
Melody: Um, well the way to the village is this way but… We should probably go down the mountainside.
Wren: Why?
Melody: … Well, you see… There are soldiers from the empire there.
Wren: …So…
Melody started getting more and more anxious as she tried to tell them her answer.
Melody: The Empire sort of band demon hunters from this area…
Wren and Lain just stared at her as she smiled nervously trying to keep her composure.
Wren: What!!
Melody: Well, you see I had to sneak out of the village so I could get help because they keep us from leaving so we don’t find demon hunters.
Wren: And then you found us…
Melody: Well, yeah…
Wren: Aw man, first we loose the map and now this… I mean we were supposed to be on vacation!
Melody: I’m sorry… I understand if you’d rather leave…
Wren: Nah, we’ll help you, we can’t turn back now.
Lain: We’ll have to find a way to offer our assistance without them finding out we are demon hunters.
Wren: That’s easy, we’ll just lie. Okay then Melody, we’ll take this mountain road then…
Melody was so relieved to hear them say they would still help, she was about to cry but didn’t. Suddenly Wren’s face became serious and Lain pulled out his twin blades.
Melody: What, what’s wrong…
Wren: (We’re surrounded…) Lain take Melody to the village and leave these demons to me.
Lain: Will you be okay on your own?
Wren: Of course I will, besides you’re faster than I am. If demons are here they must already be at the village too. Melody Lain’s going to take you to the village while I stay here.
Melody: I don’t understand…
Wren: You don’t have to just go.
Lain quickly grabbed her and with an incredible burst of speed left. Wren pulled out his sword and with a vicious swing sent fire blazing from it and burning the area around him, also making the demons come out from where they were hiding. Wren stood there waiting for the demons to attack, his sword ready. One of the demons jumped at him and with a thrust Wren caught him as it was coming down, then he swung his sword free and the demon’s body was ripped in two. The other demons started to back off but then quickly attacked all at once. Wren defeated them with skill, he sliced one in two and then three more in front of him went down with a swing of his sword while it was blazing with fire energy. Then before the last one behind him could attack him he shoved his sword behind him getting the demon right in the gut and then with a burst of fire energy from his sword destroyed it.
Wren: Ha! Too easy, now to catch up with Lain…
Wren began running after Lain but was soon ambushed by more demons. As he continued on the mountain trail more and more demons began attacking him. He had no problem dealing with them but their sheer numbers were almost overwhelming. As the mountain walls began to descend he saw a trail of demons heading in the direction of the village.
Wren: What the… So many all at once… I’ve got to hurry!
Wren feeling a bit frustrated now hurried to the village but a part of the mountain wall burst apart sending him sliding down it. Demons were chasing him down the mountain and he was about to slide right into the large group of demons slowly heading toward the village. Thinking quickly Wren grabbed a rock hanging out of the mountainside then boosted himself back up, then he jumped off the demons above him to get higher. The last demon he killed and flipped towards the mountain path he was on.
Wren: Damn, this is crazy! There’s no way they could take on so many demons at once…
As Wren continued towards the village, Lain had already gotten Melody there.
Lain: Where are the imperial soldiers?
Melody: They’re not here all the time. They set up camps outside the village and defend it from there.
Lain: I see… You should get home…
Melody: …Okay…
Lain rushed outside the village to get to the campsites and saw they were under attack by hundreds of demons. Lain decided to join the battle and rushed through killing demons with incredible speed. A group tried to gang up on him and he with a burst of sharp swirling wind tore them to shreds. The soldiers quickly noticed that they were starting to gain the advantage against the demons but weren’t sure how. Lain was slowly decreasing the number of demons but there were still so many left. An ogre like demon appeared and began crushing both demons and humans alike with it’s immense size as it made its way through to the village. Lain quickly attacked the demon with a swift slash but it wasn’t affected. The demon counterattacked with powerful punches, which Lain blocked by clashing his swords with wind energy acting as a boost. The demon was about to attack again when a fireball exploded on the side of his head, almost knocking him down. Then three more fireballs hit him one by one and it hit the ground with its face burning.
Lain: Wren…
Wren: Just in time!
The demon stood up and attacked them with rage. Wren and Lain reacted quickly, Wren shot another fireball and hit it in the gut then Lain followed up with a barrage of wind energy blades that flew from his blade into the demon’s gut. The demon fell and Lain finished it by thrusting his sword into its neck and then slicing them through. They didn’t have time to rest though; there were still many demons to deal with. They fought together using almost perfect teamwork. When they got surrounded they combined their elemental abilities and with a powerful and vicious swing from each other’s swords they unleashed a powerful burning tornado that devastated countless demons and then burned and sliced them to shreds at the same time. Seeing these two demonstrate such power helped the men and woman of the empire rally and fight back harder against the demons. The night went on and the fighting did not stop. As the morning approached Wren and Lain with the imperial soldiers and knights were successful in dealing with the entire lot of demons and they returned to the village to talk to the captain of the squadron.
Captain: I am Captain Samuel Roswell we thank you for your timely assistance.
Wren: Uh yeah, I’m Wren, and the quiet guy over there is Lain.
Samuel: .... Well met, Wren… Tell me, just what are two powerful swordsman doing in this area?
Wren: Huh, well we were just traveling around and saw that you guys were having a hard time against the demons so…
Samuel: You’re lying… No travelers were permitted around this area only those who knew the area well enough to sneak by the campsites could’ve come here from others locations. I was informed last night that little Melody had returned to the village safe and sound. She went and found you didn’t she? Furthermore, you two are far too powerful to be ordinary swordsmen; I’ve come to the conclusion that you are demon hunters. Am I correct?
Wren: (How did he…) Uh well, heh….
Lain: Yes you are correct…
Lain had done the right thing, he knew Wren was going to keep making up lies until they started sounding really bazaar and stupid, making them both look really stupid.
Samuel: I’m sure Melody told you about our orders concerning demon hunters.
Wren: …Yeah…
Samuel: I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you but these orders were from Commander Vellena herself, we cannot allow you to stay here.
Wren: Well don’t worry about it, its not like anything else has been going our way for the past few days anyway.
Wren and Lain were leaving the village when Melody came running.
Melody: Wait…!!
Melody was running so desperately she was out of breath when she caught up.
Wren: … Are you okay?
Melody: You can’t be leaving already…
Wren: Sorry Melody, but it seems like we have to…
Lain: And whose fault is that?
Wren: … (You’re the one who told him he was right) …
Melody: I can’t believe you’re leaving… I wanted you to meet my family!
Wren: … Don’t worry Melody, we’ll come back and visit.
Melody: You promise?
Wren: …Yeah, I promise.
Melody waved goodbye to Wren and Lain as they left. She was sure that Wren would keep his promise and looking at her reminded him of another girl he made a promise to. Wren took a necklace from out of his shirt as they walked on.
Wren: Another promise to keep…
Lain: Where to now?
Wren: Well we still have a lot of our vacation left so let’s head to Tyra.
Lain: How, we don’t have the map.
Wren: Oh yeah, I lost it…
Lain: It’s just one thing after another with you…
Wren: Shut up!… I’m sure we’ll find it if we keep traveling around!
Lain: The chances of that happening are pretty low…
