I wanted to further go into the "special" numbers thing. Certain things, such as numbers, have irregular changes. This is because without them the word would either be too long or sound too stress. like no one wants to say roku-hyaku.

ALSO. these same numbers also have different endings when it come to minutes (time)
ie:

ippun
ni fun
sanpun
yon fun
go fun
roppun
nana fun
happun
kyuu fun
jyuppun (some ppl say jippun, but either is fine)

mabye i will make a forum about how to tell time, if there isnt one already

I saw someone that asked why it was nijuuni and not nini, because nijuu is twenty, and add a ni, or 2, to that and you get nijuuni, or 22. Same goes for other numbers.

When going into the hundreds, its the same deal...

二百五十四 ni hyaku go juu yon - two hundred fifty four.
