Well... we had a thread on oatmeal before... so threads like this don't surprise me anymore.

Let's see what turns up. Maybe some people really DO have major pest infestations.

I remember we had a big Roach problem in my old home. My dad took out some old roach chalk (something he stored in the attic for about a year) and decided to use it. He bragged by saying it "aged like wine" and would be more potent than normal roach chalk.

Apparently, there were so many roaches found dead when we got home later that day that we were sweeping them out of the house by the dusterpan-full... gross...

Try looking here. I don't think the whole site is devoted to mice etc but it might be worth a look, and perhaps people on this site can direct you to a solution.

Before you ask, no, I don't have a rodent infestation, or any other sort of infestation. On the odd occasion when I have had a mouse at my place, I have found mouse traps to be effective, but then it was only one mouse at a time and very infrequently.

Btw, it is more effective to use peanut butter as a bait on mouse traps than cheese.

http://www.instructables.com/id/EBC1ZQ5F4WXXKZ7/ Here, make your own simple no-kill mousetrap that costs a little over 50 cents to make. Have fun.

And a REAL man catches vermin by hand.. I've got roughly 4 under my belt that I trapped myself.

We had a sweet ant infestion at our house once. Ugh, I remember when I opened the box of life and ants were not only crawling on the outside of the bag, but on the inside! *shudders*.
