I find that its just people who want the Olympics to be moved out of China.
Also it is interesting to see Buddhist monks leading a rebellion that can kill people.

Insurgencies should be dealt with appropriately. I have no qualm with the Chinese Government doing this to ensure another province doesn't fall into the hands of westerners.

The whole situation there is really making me sad. I don't think the Government should be using so much force and I find it very tragic to see Buddhist Monks getting involved, I am Buddhist and work at temple with monks, it's just too much to see them using violence and getting involved into such things.

I am really hoping everything gets better or the people are helped.
This isn't first time Chinese government used violence before, though, so part of me thinks nothing will be changed or helped.

How do you all feel on seeing Buddhist monks in the situation?

It's funny how through out all of the history of world we've had so much war
yet we don't learn from it.

I mean bloody hell,
how many god damn wars/protests will it take for people
to learn from these mistakes.

I was actually talking about this subject with a new buddy Metalstorm
about this and how stupid and down right insane this is.

Tibet was taken over by China, most people who lose their country to another country would not care what History says they will try to take their country back. You seen how we Americans on the most part went Ape-shit when 3,000 people were killed by Japs in Pearl Harbor then went Ape-shit again when another 3000 people were killed 50 years later.

Historic proof falls apart when people get their shit taken or their people killed.

for all of u out there thinking about freeing Tibet. destroying the city and kill people will not do Tibet any good, but it's a perfect way to start war.

They brought this on themselves, destroying "Chinese" themed places and setting cars on fire isn't the best way to get your point across. Tibet wants independence but what good then? "Freedom"?

"it is a truth that:
西藏過去,現在,將來,永遠都是中國的領土!!
Tibet WAS, IS, and ALWAYS WILL BE a part of China!!

chinese control needs to be removed from tibet. The control that the Chinese government has over the daily lives of its people is ridiculous. The fact of the matter is that China has promised that prior to the Olympics they would increase humanitarian efforts and all that evidence shows is that things have only further diminished. the UN needs to send in independent investigators to find the real cause of the riots and the current situation in places like tibet.

They should at LEAST allow the Dalai Lama back in. His exile is moronic.

excuse but i feel a bit insulted by this comment. this isn't any humourous laughing matter. just had to say. I am part tibetan, and I find it horrendous what they are doing to us or any of the other ethnicity in china the chinese communist government has harmed. The United States government refuses to take any action due to all the imports of chinese goods into the United States. (U.S. is enormously depended on China) bloody communists.

ya i agree!!!its not a funny thing that ppl are dying!!!i m tibetan too so i also feel insulteed!!man China government are so F-kin greedy. How much more land do they want!!god and the other so called POWERFUL countries are not even bothered by this.
i just hope China will soon free our country and hope tibetans will survive

Just know that you guys have supporters from around the world

I am all for freeing Tibet and I think what the chinese have done in that area is nothing less than genocide and is on par with many of the things the Nazi's did with the Jews in WWII.

on another note, apparently China is threatening the Dalai Lama now and blaming him for the rebellions?

Is not. That's like saying that if China conquered Korea that koreans would now be chinese

tibet has it's own religion, culture, practices, government, language, and ethnicity. They are different groups of people.
