Being an American means blindly believing in things presented, living in fear and safety, then getting pissed off about it, some do something, others do nothing...the choice to live or to suffer, the choice to do whatever, is what it means to be american...

it means living the american dream, taking all the advantages you can take in this land of oppourunity.

For example, during colonial times indentured servitudes were seeking for wealth and opportunities in this new exotic land, while protestants were seeking religious toleration. After the revolution and all the way to the Antebellum period, it was all about moving west, the land of new territories, the bold and wild frontier. In the 1920's it was all about blacks wanting to gain recognition with a burst of Black artists and musicians with famous poets such as langhston hughes.

for the rest of american history idk but you get the idea...

I don't know. I guess if you're born in America or move to America and become a citizen, that's what make you an american

ok.... i hate it when people call themselves american(i mean american as in people from north and south america... not usa).... while theyre not.... i mean.. from what i know they are not real american citizens.... the real ones are the native americans that were conquered by their ancestors.. so what makes those people think that theyre american?... because theyre born in america?...

Then what would I call myself, "Little Miss No Land?"
