That's why I do most of my "questionaly legal" driving on remote county roads. You never see state troopers, and because it's soo far from the county seat, county cops are just as rare and none of the villages/towns have cops that will veture out side city lines. Sure the chance is always there, but before he can get any assistance, because it's in the middle of nowhere, I could lose him easy.

I pretty much do the same. On a long 150 miles of driving road on California State Route 58 heading westbound, had orgasmic corners combined with roller-coaster-like straights. I took the jump-inducing hils at 95 MPH (at least 4500 RPM in 5th gear!), definitely got some air in my Subaru!

I've been up around 120 MPH quite a few times with various vehicles, my highest normal speed is 90-95 mph, I am far more into cornering than I am into raw speed though. Drifting is pretty, but in a long run it eats tires, you know? Better to corner well with little squeel, imo.

I owned a frail, little '96 Kia Sephia for a couple of years, so the most I've risked was about 115 mph.

:)

I picked up my new bike which had to get squeezed down to 25 kW (31,5 bhp) because of a restriction on my license (which'll expire coming October ;))

A detuned SZR660 still squeaks out 100 MPH :P
Far faster than my previous bike, an XJ600 on 25kW

In what car w/ what engine and transmission?

I think my Subaru Outback w/ a 5-speed manual and 165HP 2.5L DOHC boxer engine would top out at about 200kph (with a strong tailwind)

i would have to say the fastest i have driven is 165 kmph, that was while living in Malaysia for a short stay and was pretty easy to get away with speeding . Here now that i am back in the states i would have to say 100MPH is hard to reach

Funny that's about the fastest I've gone too... on a motorcycle

I was at the track and it was through the straightaway and wide turn (not too much room to accelerate on that track)

I would have to say, 152 mph in my 1969 L89 Chevelle. Granted it did cost me a 1200$ ticket and 8 points on my license but, the cop sure did love the car.

The dumbest thing in the early 80's was drive a old doge pick up with some big block V-8 down the autobahn doing close to 100. That dam thing was just a bouncing. From Germany to Holland 160 KL. I geuss ruffly 130 MPH. I made a 800 mile trip from B'ham AL to Texas in under ten hour's Louisiana I lost allot of time the speed trap state.
