lol just reading all the posts about "this site sucks now that they took down all the licensed crap." - "Torrent's are hard and suck for those of us that just want to watch it." lol if it get's licensed, and gets put out on DVD that's great. Hell, I can still remember when we had to find fansubbers on a fan-listing or hear about em at a small anime club and send in a cash payment and/or a blank vhs cassette so they can make us a poorly ripped or "so-so" copy ( depending on how much you paid ) of an anime that we liked. And the waiting to get the anime back was another killer especially if it stopped at a cliff-hanger, (damn you maison ikkoku!) So if an anime get's licensed, that's great. Because it's easier for you to get high quality, the people that get to work in the anime industry can feed their kids and do what they love, and the creator, animator and the studio's who made the anime can continue to put out great crap. I understand the whole, "I'm poor I can't afford -blah blah blah-" But also understand that anyone working in the Japanese animation industry get's paid one of the lowest wages for what they do and you downloading a torrent of a work they FINALLY get paid for isn't helping their situation. And anyone saying, "tough sh*t" to that, is not only disrespecting their time and effort just to make your day brighter and entertain you, just proves my point licensed crap doesn't belong here to begin with since it'll bring all the people that can't use logic to swarm this site. Respect shinji, respect the artists and creators and when crap get's licensed, don't distribute or bitch. Rent it, or buy it. -END RANT-

Wow i Agree with your opinion and im usually pretty contreversial when it comes to one good speech also going through 224 pages takes a heck of a lota time so thanks for that yah i believe their was a time when anime sites didnt exist but not many remember that including myself so opinions differentiate but i agree anime workers should be paid good wages for their work and licensing is one way to do it but the flip is if you probally cant afford too buy every series available, someday they'll probally just make super cds with several animes or a one time fee or internet podcast subscription from the big anime companies with a yearly subscription fee and all the anime available their for viewing until then we find it any way possible End Link

While i don`t believe i was one of the complainers , next time a situation like this arises , Shinji, it would me much appreciated if you could post a little notice about it so people don`t freak. (note : this wasn't meant to sound angry or whiny, just a suggestion)

correction, not all the good anime is gone, there are some good unlicensed animes out there right now, you just have to take the time to surf through the anime section and find something you like thats all.

yes I agree that if you can afford it you should buy the licensed anime DVD's, personally I try to whenever I can, however I also use torrents to view licensed anime, if I like the show I downloaded then I will go out and buy it (provided I have the money) but after I DL it I don't upload it if its been licensed, I may be a leecher because of that and I understand that what I do dose not help the anime industry but in my current situation (back problems, I cant work and still am not receiving any kind of disability so my wife and I are stuck trying to get by on one income) I can go through a full 12-24 ep series in 1-2 days so there is no way I can afford to pay upwards of 40-60 dollars for 6-8 eps of a series.
I am lucky enough to have a store that carries a lot of anime near by and what they don't have they can order in as well as all the toys and scrolls that go along with the shows.
long story short I do try to help support the industry whenever I can but I do understand what its like to have no money for the things you want. I feel sorry for the people who cant use torrents due to their connection speeds but again there is nothing I can do to help those people.

anyway, just my two cents is all.

not as far as I know, the removed stuff is gone due to licensing so the only way to view it is to direct download it, use a torrent or buy the DVD's
