you could say Outlaw star fits right in, the main character has 2 insanely strong female companions, yet somehow he seems to be able to keep them under control.

it's just to polish the main character like polishing your glory

i wonder why so many side characters, who are usually quiet and peace-loving most of the time, are like super strong.........for example: Kyouraku Shunsui, Ukitake, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Vash the Stampede, and etc.

if you know why, tell me the reason, the name of the characters, and of course the name of the anime.

The reason lies in a culture of Japan and many other countries of that region. The Eastern culture is based on thought that one man is not significant-what is significant is society. They education system based on a collective responsibility and collective work. The patriotic movement there is also provides japaneese people with the idea of significance of many people and insignificanse of just one person. This is the main reason that Japanese really hate americans and don't make the main heroes almighty(usually). I hope that I answered your question.

If the Japanese"hate" Americans it might be because of Hiroshima, not some cultural dispute, and what American based character is all powerful, and doesn't have setbacks?!?!?

You obviously have not seen many anime, here is a list of characters who dominate in Japanese anime and rarely stumble.

Ken(Fist of the North Star)
Jubei(Ninja Scroll)
Vash the Stampede(Trigun)
Gene Starwind(Outlaw Star)
Son Goku(Dragonball Z)every character in this anime is second to Goku
Baki Hanma(Baki the Grappler)all most every fight he loses is to his own father!!!
Voltron
Ichigo Kurosaki(Bleach)Every fight he loses is because he doesn't use full power from the start, unlike all of the Shinigami in the show Ichigo has the least amount of experience, yet is without a doubt the most powerful,he is holding himself back.
Ryu(Streetfighter)

I forgot to mention, those characters you listed are all older than the main characters in their anime, and the last three arn't even quiet, even Kakashi is soft spoken, but he is very vocal about things.
