You know people from the internet, you talk to them on the internet, you talk to the real person.

I'm not really sure what you're asking, so I'll just go off in a rant. ^^'

I absolutely HATE IT when teachers demand something to be typed and printed out by the next day, for students to watch the news tonight and write a report about it, for students to look something up on the internet.
I mean, what are they trying to do to us?! Thats not education! Its much easier to plagiarize when something is typed from the computer for one. The only benefit is its easier for a teacher to read. Stupid, lazy, self-serving, teachers! ><
There are still parents who realize that T.V (for the most part) just rots your brain, and haven't allowed their children to sit in front of the television for hours. Not everyone has a computer, internet, or tv. I'm tired of teachers expecting us to be dependent on technology.

Ok, I'm done :]

But I like being dependent on technology it makes me think less especially with all the horrible spelling mistakes I make.

Any ways I think she was talking about peer pressure exerted over the internet from people, you don't even know. I never feel pressured by people I meet on line mainly because well I just don't care for the most part. Oh and my computer is always telling me to do drugs but I beat it with a stick when it does that.

If u are feeling the pressure, then u are probably taking ppl's comments too seriously. Remember just b/c ppl post their comments on the web, doesn't mean they mean it

EDIT: what im talking about isnt influcing them, just trying to say that people are gaging up on you on the internet: or trying to encorage you to mess with the people on the site.

People gang up on you on the Internet? Can you give an example cos I've never had it happen to me before so I can't really imagine the situation that you're talking about.

Just because people say stuff in real life doesn't mean they mean it either.

Oooh, I think I get the topic now.

I get where your coming from, its odd how even on forums and such, the actions of others can influence you to do something you normally wouldn't...like (gah, and sorry to bring this up again, I can't think of a better example!) the whole FLRIT-SAN impersonation thing.

I remember how pretty much everyone "ganged" up on her for a time just basically belittling her, and oddly enough, I kind of joined in, or at least laughed my *** off about it?! I eventually went back and ranted that it was wrong etc, etc...but I still can't believe I'd even made fun of her in the first place, that's something I'd never do in real life, maybe its a thrill of the moment type of thing.

Ahh but usually the people that get ganged up on deserved it. Why would you even think too much into what people say online? Unless its a debate, I can brush things off easily.

Its not like they can give you an online wedgie, so you're safe if you don't listen.

^Who are we to decide who "deserves" it? Who are we to judge them? We don't know them, we've never seen them, we all have different opinions of right and wrong...so how can we dish out punishments?

Because people don't gang up on those that act with a little more intelligence. For example, the thread index is clearly there. And yet people still remake old posts. Or people pretending to be who they are not.

I'm sure if you act accordingly and not make stupid blatant posts or actions, you won't be ganged up on.
