Aww I love how you did the cover of the magazine to make it look like you can scan it with a barcode scanner and scan it. I'll guess I'll go and download the word file for now. Hope the PDF's going to be back in order.

Haha I'm a fizzy and sugary drink...mmm...

I especially love Shelly's interview on Shinji. He's not so mysterious, he's the man behind the scenes. Although I was wondering did qh sent in her music features or not, since it's not featured this time. And I love how you formatted my features, Steffi!

Based on the error message displayed when I attempted to open the .pdf file, I would guess that the file size is too big for non-subscribers to the hosting site to download. I had no problems downloading the Word document, however.

My initial thoughts (Edit: Not trying to sound overly critical here, I really did enjoy the issue and am highly impressed at the talent and hard work of the creators)

-The cover is very well done. However, the image quality isn't the best (at least as viewed in Word). It might be better to save it as .png file for better quality.

-Some of the submissions have spelling and grammar errors. While not exactly stellar in either category myself, awkward sentence structure, obvious misuse of punctuation, and misspelled words make the magazine seem rushed and juvenile. Perhaps making the deadline a week before the anticipated release date would be helpful so that the staff has time to check and correct these issues.

-Overall, the layout is well done, with graphics complimenting, not competing, with the text. Also, good use of space, not leaving too much “dead” space while at the same time not making it seem cramped.

I am attempting to have the .Doc file converted into PDF, as .Doc is unfeasible for reading on a computer without MS word. Unfortunately, Zamzar and Adobe-PDF-converter have been at it for several hours with no confirmation. Pages has it coming out half decent, but I think I understand why other programs are having such a hard time - there is a lot of section breaks, column breaks, text boxes, photos, and a different standard of paper size (A4 I believe) than what is used here in the US.

I would like if next time the editable file was saved in ODF. ODF is far easier to convert and read cross system, especially for a system like Linux, but as few people use the ISO standard I doubt many would be willing to convert to using something like OpenOffice.org over Microsoft Office.

I also second the recommendation that the hosting be moved to MediaFire.com. Although it supports smaller files(100MB) than others, it's very reliable and easy-to-use.

:D! I watched 200 Pounds of Beauty a while ago on a whim & loved it.

I've heard such amazing things about Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo. I'm definitely going to have to add it to my 'must watch' list.

:( I'm a virgo, too. September 8th.

Erm. Was my review of the pillows' (not capitalized, by the way) new single included? Lmao, perhaps I just keep missing it. ^_^;

lol, I'm all paranoid that one (or both) of my articles is one you're talking about, although I do extensive proofreading before submitting the finished piece(s). However, we tend to have an entire month to get our articles in. That's more than enough time for someone to give their articles to an editor.
