As was pointed out to me I forgot to run one last spell and grammar check before publishing Chapter 1 of Darkest. Sad indeed, I hope I do better next time.

I'd say great release, But I can't read it. = ) Workin' on it still though as I was in my previous post.

-The cover is very well done. However, the image quality isn't the best (at least as viewed in Word). It might be better to save it as .png file for better quality.

Indeed. PNG would be nice

Speaking of which, if any of you have MS word 2004 or 2007, why don't you download either the Adobe Acrobat plugin or the MS word 2007 plugin and convert the file into a PDF?

Those of us who don't have Microsoft Office would be very grateful. : (

Well you can help, like help clip images and all.
But doing the cover was kinda my thing, if not me then
i'd turn to Edsamac who is the other Graphics man.
These are our positions in which we applied for and was
appointed for. I'm not being all defensive, simply
stating my opinion. Take example a person who
is already appointed for anime/drama reviews,
if they were suddenly replaced then I'm sure they'd
know how I feel. Lately there hasn't been a need for
us so I'm not sure if Steffi would need a 3rd, we
have Jester who helped us get Onigiri started.

So your help is always welcome, but actual applications
aren't being taken as far as I know.

I have to run to work now but i'll put it on another site when i get back so you can see the PDF. Apologies for typos etc- i was busy and missed quite a few apparantly ^-^. I had to add some of my own work to this issue so didn't spend as long editing as usual.
Runs~

Steffi, don't you think it would be easier if more people help to put the magazine together with you?
Posted 9/3/07
^
agreed, I feel that we bring you the pieces...

but in the end ur the one building the ark.

help is always just a click away.

Members can now send their articles in word format which a few chose. I then put them together and edited them slightly ^-^.
I'm getting adobe for next issue so it should easier. I've had lots of offers of help so i might think about sending it with some unfinished to other staff. It is a bit hard for a tech dunce to do it all hehe

(I feel like everyone is having a go at me - sorry! I'll get it working in 5 hours!)

Yeah one person can check for spelling errors the other one can be in charge of images or whatever, the other puts it in the wiki, etc.

We have wiki editors now so i no longer do that. It's just that the magazine leaped from 15 to 50 pages so it was alot harder to edit. Every change shifted the whole document!
Oh and ray i added the date to the cover for you so no fear ^-^

heh heh okay cool, let me know if u need CS3 okay?

It has InDesign.... i use that for newsletters and magazine layouts....
it's great and it of course has export to PDF option.

lokita <snip>
Erm. Was my review of the pillows' (not capitalized, by the way) new single included? Lmao, perhaps I just keep missing it. ^_^;

Page 11.

lokitalol, I'm all paranoid that one (or both) of my articles is one you're talking about, although I do extensive proofreading before submitting the finished piece(s). However, we tend to have an entire month to get our articles in. That's more than enough time for someone to give their articles to an editor.

If you're like me (and I know I am) you tend to procrastinate until the last moment. By having the deadline a week earlier, you are forcing those procrastinators to have their pieces done semi-early so that everyone has time to look over them. Plus, it gives the compiler(s) a little extra time so they don't feel so rushed.
