I liked FFXII for the political plot twists. It wasn't about the main character falling in love with the second main character while they go on an adventure/quest. It was like, everybody had their duty to fulfill. I liked the fact that Vaan wasn't the main character even though you control him most of the time. Balthier always claimed his "leading man" role. And I felt that every character in this game had a nice part in the plot. The vocabulary of the game was very.... interesting. XD Medieval language is kinda cool to speak (nerd)  |

Personally, I kinda thought the storyline in XII was a bit weak... maybe I just missed something, i dunno... best storyline: FFVI

But did you not mean helpless girls as in
"oh noes im some japanese rpg woman who has been captured by the enemy, but even though i have uber magic skills(because thats what most helpless females use....magic) i cannot escape because the plot demands that i be helpless and wait for the main guy to save me."
