Which Final Fantasy had the best storyline?

well i think FF6 would be best for storyline
FF7 is great too, and i absolutely luv it but in storyline it's second to 6
FF8 was good but not crazy great
FF9 was ok, not bad but i didnt luv it
FFX storyline was fairly cliche but presentation was amazing
FFX-2 sucked period w/ storyline
FF12 storyline was good not great and the characters i just hated and not to mention it was suppose to be more "political" but it just ended up w/saving the world again but it was good but not much else
FF7:DoC just horrible not to mention they totally ruined Vincent's character
FF7:CC zack was awesome and the storyline's pretty interesting but i think that the character relationships were more interesting than actual plot
