But what about English? I was told that, for none native speakers, English is one of the hardest languages to learn simply because there are sooo many exceptions to the rules, many different sets of rules, and most of the words came from many different languages to begin with. Everything from German, to French, to Latin and Italian, greek and Hebrew, Even Spanish and Russian based words enter the mix...

However, the fact is, that Navijo has been said to be THE hardest language in the world to learn. That is why it was used as a code language by American forces durring WWII.

That's true. For instance, someone who knows Chinese already may find it easier to learn Japanese since there are so many Chinese characters in it

Japanese is rather easy to learn, but learning how to write all that kanji is a right pain in the ass.

You're Chinese? Japanese kanji is pretty easy to write and read..but when you speak it out loud...for example:颜色 (pronounced 'yan se' in Chinese) is pronounced differently but retaining the original meaning..tough >__<

ya... it's hard for me to pick up on their pronunciation of kanji words... If I learned Hiragana, it might help...
