Ok spyware what is it. Well per SearchSecurity.com :Spyware is any technology that aids in gathering information about a person or organization without their knowledge. On the Internet (where it is sometimes called a spybot or tracking software), spyware is programming that is put in someone's computer to secretly gather information about the user and relay it to advertisers or other interested parties. Spyware can get in a computer as a software virus or as the result of installing a new program Besides sending information out, they can and will cause your PC to run slower. It is a drag on your CPU. So I run at lest 2 types of anti-sypware two times a week. One by LavaSoft caled Ad-Aware (pick the free one) and Spybot search&Destroy (also pick free ver). Ad-Aware at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ Spybot at http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

gcz79 if you are still having virus issues try my tried and true web site that I use bitdefende http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html. It is a on line virus scaner. The scan is run from the site. So virus that can disable anti-virus soft ware have problem disabling the scan. With his program as it scans your whole PC, you might as well pick on time that you can leave your PC on line (it must be on line for the scan to run). Say like over night as it will use most of the memory and CPU of you PC. The first time I ran it, it ran for some thing like 5 hours but even after the first time it will run long (two hours or more). But, if you want to keep your PC up & on-line and not pass viruses on to your friends PC's, it is small price to pay.
AburaiRukia get a Qtip and alacol and cleand around the key. Taping the same key durring after cleaning. You may have to also use can air. But, they will not sell it, I believe to any one under 21.

depends on who is seeling the pressurized air, I know that some places will sell it to anyone over 15, but someplaces you have to be legal age (18 where I am, 21 in America).

Ratman, I know that firewalls help to protect your computer but they can also stop things that you want... do I need to specify everything that I want the firewall to allow and disallow or is there some sort of manufactured firewall that is able to do that....

also, is it possible to pass a virus unintentionally between networked computers?

RivrStyx Yes it is possible to pass a virus on networked computers. Like it have comon files that they share or a server that is shared. The point is if there is unreticted access between PC's. You better believe that it can happen. At the former site at I worked at. A virus got into the network and quckly spred throuth out the work stations and PC And we had good fire walls facing the internet. I believe it was spred by attacting to inter office emails. It took as I remember the desktop dept more than one day clear it out of all the workstations and PC's. It did not hurt the servers or Unix or mainframe as they had totaly dift. Operating systems. Now on Firewall applications. The anti-virus/firewall (Panda) and anti-spyware (spybot) have will ask if this down load or connection is ok once. Or if a out side application is trying to make a change on your PC. It is some times is a pain but, then getting something that wipes your hard drive is a even [red]bigger pain.

Well that is way beyone any thing I could help you with. Other than reloading your Operating system. Which is a last dich option it would be better to take it to a repair teck. As one of the Star Trek lines I like goes "Its dead Jim". Note, does it give any error message on the blue screen. If it does note that down and also give to teck.

I think it has to do with how you're uploading the picture.

A picture that is uploaded from your computer will not move because you're only uploading a single frame of that picture. The internet wont store the moving picture if it's uploaded like that. What you have to do is get it onto another site (such as deviantart or photobucket or imageshack) where it is able to be stored online as a moving icon and then uploaded that way.

I'm not sure but that seems like the most logical sense

edit: I asked a friend (computer geek) and he figured the same as me, all that the BB code is asking for is a direct link to the animated gif
