I have one... I just bought a new computer game today and in order to play it I need to download DirectX but whenever I get to the validation component it says an unexplainable (or something along the lines of that) error has occurred... How do I fix this?

Ok check the game intruction. It will tell you what oprating system it will work with (XP or windows Visda), how much memory must be free, for it to run, how fast is your CPU has to be. These are call system reqments. If you PC does not mesure up to or beyon it. You game will not work or in most cases load. If system reqments mesure up than you are going to have to contact the Game Maker. Now if you have the new windows oprating system Visda (I know I am miss spelling it). It could be due to it not working. The dang thing I heard has more bugs than any thing I ever see or heard. More so if it one of early rel. Contact the dark empire Micro Soft also.

ok i got a couple questions for ya ratman, and I am computer savy, so they are doozies.

3 questions in total,

while installing a new graphics card, nvidia 6800Gs, I got it working entirely and then restarted the computer, upon restarting my monitor refused to recognise the card as its source of input, my monitor is a dell flat panel (pretty new, under a year and a half old) but ya the monitor was completely unresponsive to the card, so i had to take it out and re attach me old one.

q2- while trying to install Age of Conan for my brother, I ran into a snag, i meet all the required to play the game, and just shy of the processor and ram to meet the ideal settings, yet my friend who barely meets the minimum requirements can play the game alot smoother than I, and also I have every setting at as low as it can go, I am running Vista, and he XP. but I dont think thats the problem. any tips?

q3, lastly cr actually internet related lol: I can't seem to get my Imeem player to play on my profile. and if it is would u kindly let me know lol.

1# Well hard ware I am not so good. But, it sounds like the card maybe not compatable with your computer or it is a bad card or you dont have the ram memory for it to run. Check the stats on what the min. requirements for the card to work on a PC.
2# A well it sounds like it maybe a combo of low cpu speed and ram memory. It also could be that old graphics card. But, do you get any error message on the load or trying to run it.
3# I have not done that on my profile yet. So I can not tell you but, ask bloodyroses. She has one on her profile. Note, If it is like posting the posting of Photos. It has to load out of a file on your PC.

1. aye thanks comrade, I am the opposite, i am good with hardware, but not software, i can take a comp apart and put it back together, but i suck at trouble shooting, well im above the average person but below lets say you prolly.

2. naw it seems like everything should be fine, and i have my friend beat totally on computer power evertyhing from ram to cpu speed, his sucks compared to mine, but he can run it fine.

3. it has to do with embedding and html code, if it was regular html code i could manipulate my page completely. but im not to hip with this new stuff. and i asked her if it played when my profile loaded and she logged off, so im hoping for a reply tomorrow.

1. I still think somthing that is incombable on your PC. It maybe the firmware or software. I would check with the maker of the card.

2. Hmm somthing is got to be wrong with the soft ware on the game or on your PC. Again check with the maker of the game.

3. Well I can tell you. NO it does not play....

1. well same maker as the card that is in there, just way better performance wise, i was thinking it was taking too much fromt he power supply, and thus the monitor wasnt able to be detected. kinda a super power supply being needed, i dont try and understand it though lol.

2. aye i will do that, if its software im going to give up im hopeless with it.

3. well thank you. ok let me go check the coding. lol I love how you worded it though, made me laugh.

Ok ratman, im a little on edge right now, I tried dismantling 2 computers, looking for parts that were better than the ones I have, to resolve problem #2 (just improve performance) and I ran into a problem, I am missing the power supply to one of my good computers (apparently its in my friends on the other side of the us, so I am looking for a particular power supply type, it needs a whopping 24 prong to attach to the motherboard, now I know this is suppost to be about internet, and it slightly is, any site you would recommend me finding this type of power supply, since a lot of places do not mention how many prongs that attaches to the motherboard uses...(mouth-full), comp usa couldn't help me, and the comp was custom built, so I truly do not recall the original power supply brand/type....

ok wow gosh, to sum it up, where can I get a particular (special) power supply at, (it was originally used to power that honking video card that I had, thats probably why I ended up getting a unique power supply in the first place, (mine only uses a 20 prong or something close to that)

And I beg your pardon on asking this hardware question but I don't know really where to turn.
