because y'all thake things too seriously!

(name of the thread was changed so dont worry if that doesnt make sense.)

I mean i few weeks ago there was a topic titled something like "Is crunchyroll too serious nowadays?" and just now whilst searching for something interesting some random (very very random) thread poped up about how you would kill a dinosaur!
Now personally i thought this thread had some potential to be abit interesting with us lot coming up with more and more fantastical ways of killing off this reptilian nemisis and then we could point out missing bits and create the ultimate dinosaur killing stratagy!! And it would have been glorious!!

But apparently noone seemed to agree and it was flamed to the ground and locked before id even finished my post 8(

The point is i think we need more of these types of things on this forum or ill just get bored and not bother with it.

*RANT END*

Agreed? or not?

to be fair, the mods generally give even some of the stipidest threads some time to see if they go anywhere. Besides, if they didn't lock them there's be way too many. Plus, its often quite funny. Go and read the mod quotes thread if you want a laugh.

if you want silly things, look in the forum games section. there are plenty of still open non serious threads.

Wait till evening when the kids log back on... they'll bring the non serious threads... i mean come on, i've begged for the "what's your favorite ice cream" thread to be locked forever, i finally gave up as seeing it keeps the kids from spamming the serious threads.
We go through different stages.
The threads are incredibly stupid for weeks, then one person will either create or revive a serious thread and then everyone remembers what it's like to use thier brains.
So it swings back and forth.
The dinosaur one if it was meant to be, it should have been placed in the forum games, not much room for discussion in it.

Silly threads still open:

Who likes ice cream?

I say we change the topic title to:

What is your opinion on the Crunchyroll Forum?

"Who likes ice cream?"

wtf thats the stupidest thread ive ever seen!!
The reason i liked the dinosaur one was because i would require abit more thought than "chocolate" yet was still a "silly thread". i dont blame you for wanting it locked.
(though the lactose intolerant post was genius)

However, despite the blatent hypocracy of this post i reckon its atleast about time we had a silly phase but a silly phase that isnt completely retarded!

I agree with mochacafe, that would make more sense, and reduce the chances of this thread being locked....

I've been waiting to see how long this one lasted....

ill be surpised if it lasts much more than a page. But tbh i the title of the thread shouldnt effect whether it is lock (unless its outright obscene) thats just a sign of bad Mods

^^^Please edit...

Actually the title and content effects the thread if its something like "WHO ON EARTH FREAKING LIKES STUPID ICE CREAM" it will probably have a greater chance of being locked than "Who likes Ice-Cream?". To tell you the truth what you expect in a thread is some good discussion. What can you expect in a How to kill a dinosaur thread? Sure there might be a few [1or 2] people who acctually do it seriously others would be random stupid posts.
Besides most forum mods stalk the thread and see if there are any worthwhile posts or if it goes anywhere before locking it.

hmmm you make an astute point there. I'd prefer Mods to be a bit more leanient and perhaps atempt to make a seemingly useless thread worthwhile or give a warning (since im sure your all busybusy people)

ive made my point anyway and dont intend on defending it much more. as far as this thread is concerned it can either die or we could change the title as suggested and make it a "Serious Thread" about opinions and stuff..

WHINEY!!! why you impudent bastard!

**EDIT** how do you change the topic name anyway?

Decent threads dont come along every minute and im sure not all of them would interest you, but the ones that dont interest you arent Spam. Things like the dinosaur thread i doubt would for example but if a couple of (less mature? maybe) people got together then it would have been a fun thread (though certainly not productive in the least) the point is those types of threads get little or no chance so srcew being stricter that'd make it worse.

Half the time I come in here because I'm in a flaming mood. And stupid threads make me flame happy.
