As Magnus stated before, not all people are born equal.

So just because he was born above the rest he deserves attention?
And all the "common" people who are dieing and suffering nobodys cares about?
Why don't they get a RIP thread?

I honestly could care less about this man, but he has publicly accomplished way more then your average human being will ever do. Magnus made a thread about this man, I believe, because of his achievements. What have those "dieing and suffering nobodys" done that you can recall, aside from living and then dieing/suffering?

So just because this dude decided to write books instead of being a teacher or a doctor he gets all this credibility? Being a actor or director or author is just a profession.. just like being a clerk or bus driver. I understand that he was "famous" but i still don't think we need threads on when people pass away. If your going to do RIP threads, then include everybody who has died, not just the ones who have better professions then others.

Fact of the matter is people grow affections for those who they watch and meet and agree with. So much so that some lead to stalking and obsessions even. People watch actors act in their movies as well as read books by authors, and form what you could call an bond with them (though not consensually). You could even call it love to a degree, but do you honestly get that from some dead body that belongs to a human you have never met?

" If your going to do RIP threads, then include everybody who has died"
How can you include everyone who has died when its impossible for a single human to know the names of everyone who has died?

You may not like R.I.P. threads because you feel the other people who have died are not getting the same treatment, but their family and friends are mourning their deaths like its the only thing that matters. So yes, the majority of dead people are being mourned for, its just not being done on CR.

Even though he can be considered a significant person in history, it's just one more death. The world will continue to revolve around the sun like it had always, people will continue to live their lives in ignorance of his death.
