Japanese verbs can be divided into 2 groups V-masu and desu verbs. they are used to speak in a polite manner, here i will list the most common used V-masu verbs. you'll see that all of them ends with masu. *note* all of them are transitive verbs *note* also i cant type hiragana so i apologize for them being on romanji form

Wash - araimasu

Speak - hanashimasu

Buy - kaimasu

Write,Draw - kakimasu

Listen to, hear, ask for - kikimasu

See, watch - mimasu

Learn - naraimasu

Drink - nomimasu

send - okurimasu

eat - tabemasu

take - torimasu

make - tsukurimasu

sell - urimasu

read
- yomimasu

To Form a sentence the sentence structure is like this

subject wa direct object o V-masu

example.
I speak japanese - Watashi wa nihon-go o hanashimasu

the dog drinks water - Inu wa mizu o nomimasu

my sister watches TV - Watashi no onesan wa terebi o mimasu

Asking Questions
like putting ka on desu to form a question ,you also add the particle ka at the end of the statement

You eat an apple - Anata wa ringo o tabemasu

Do you eat an apple? - Anata wa ringo o tabemasu ka

Next is to ask questions like , What do you eat or What do you drink

is this a book? - Kore wa hon desu ka.

what is this? - Kore wa nan desu ka.

is this a English book? - Kore wa Eigo no hon desu ka.

what kind of book is this? - Kore wa nan no hon desu ka.

Notice than "nan" comes before "desu" and "o"

Do you buy meat? - Anata wa Niku o kaimasu ka.

what do you buy? - Anata wa nani o kaimasu ka.

what do you eat? - Anata wa nani o tabemasu ka.

what do you drink? - Anata wa nani o nomimasu ka.

That would be how to use basic verbs and how to form them, hope it helps.
Sorry if its not clear :sweatingbullets:
