Ghosts exist?

They do indeed, bb.

Well, yeah. Lot’s of people have seen ghosts. Like the gift shop lady at the haunted house…. -_-… Na, I’m not really sure if I do or don’t believe in ghosts. I don’t waste my time having opinions about such silly subjects. I’m not about to dive in and research that kind of thing. There’s no real point.

Wait, your religious?
If you are, why is the thought of ghosts so silly? :P

Hmm…Well, the concept of ghosts isn’t really silly. It’s certainly possible. But the mien of the whole subject gives it a “Big Foot” hunting feel. You know what I mean? Like those T.V shows where they have fake psychics go in and say “I feel a presence. It’s angry. You should be careful. Give me 500$ for this reading.” Then people pretend like they’re being touched, and they interview a bunch of inbreds and gift shop saleswomen.

Touche.

Thats why Im skeptical of it. Its possible, just a reliable source please?

You know... i believe that children have a sense that's different from adults... like they can see other things that we can't... and that as we get older... that sense dies. I mean... some of it could be imagination and all... but I do believe that little kids can sense something that adults can't.

Theres this 1 urban legend from my country that when you go to a bathroom(i don't know what time of the day)and turn off all the lights and look at the mirror and say "bloody mary" 13 times while spinning faster and faster and as you near your 13th bloody mary you will feel a presence stronger and stronger and........she's there........never tried it though but a lot of people claim it to be true.......

Here's another one......theres a doctor who is a professor of a famous university here and 1 night he stayed up late checking papers in his desk(his desk has a space in the bottom for his feet so if you look down in the table you can see someone's feet). Now, he is a professor for surgery(i think) and since he's a professor for surgery he has a carcass in front of his desk and covered with cloth. While the doctor was checking his papers he accidentally dropped his pen and when he reached for his pen he saw a feet, a dead feet, you would know cause the feet is very pale and has some scratches. The doctor was surprised cause its very late and students aren't supposed to be there. He looked up and saw that the carcass is gone and there were scratches in his papers. Thinking that he was just imagining things he went home and was about to change clothes but when he opened his closet.........he saw the carcass and it was smiling a very grim smile on him and had a very bloody and evil stare...then the professor fainted. The next day the professor was arrested because the police found out that he had the carcass illegally......the end.....
WAIT!!!! Here's the scary part....they say that when you hear this story......when you open your closet....you will see the carcass in your own house, smiling grimly and staring at you.....but just for a split second......

This is a story of what happened to my mum and her friends when they went out one night for a laugh, supposidly.

If anyone knows of it, skidbrooke church? Its a church that was apparently built the wrong way, and a lot of devil worshippers used to meet there way way back.

Its all closed up now, but it doesn't stop people from going inside of it. My mother and three of her friends went inside to do a ouiji board (absolutely stupid thing to do!). My mum didn't really wanna do it, coz she scares easily, but I guess she was put under peer pressure or something.

I can't remember if she said that she actually talked to a spirit, but it was after that was absolutely scarey.

They all walked down an alleyway back to the car, her friends throwing all the papers from the ouiji board on the floor. (The papers that will have the alphabet on them and etc).

Two of her friends decided to go back, but my mum and the other went and waited in the car coz they were too frightened to go back. (Why the other two wanted to go back is beyond me ¬_¬)

A few minutes later, my mum and friend in the car noticed two torchs flashing about rapidly and racing back down the alleyway. It was the other two. They quickly got back in the car, absolutely crapping themselves and telling my mum, "Go, just go now!"

My mum was all like, "What happened? Tell me now!" but they wouldn't tell her.

On the way home they finally told my mum and friend, "You know the papers we threw down the alleyway?... well... they're gone,"

So my mum was like, "Well fuck this we're going home!" XD

It must have been about 1 in the morning when they were on their way back home, and my mum spotted an old man sitting on top of a road sign, and the other friend said she saw him too.

"What a guy? Shall we go back and help him?"

"HELL NO WE'RE GOING HOME!!"

Fin.

lol

EDIT: If anyone likes scary stories, here's a link of short ones for yo pleasure ^^

i heard this story from a friend nurse of mine

there was once a nurse walking home
from her graveyard shift. since she was stressed from work she felt her
shoulders heavy, then she noticed she was being followed by
an old lady. being the scaredy cat that she was, she went into
a nearby church not even looking back. as she entered she felt relieved and
sat in the frontmost row to pray. she was shocked to see that the old lady had followed her and sat beside her. "it was good that you entered this church" said the lady while pointing to the doorway. there she saw what seems to be a child's shadow and although the church was properly lit, she couldn't seem to picture the face. "that spirit was clinging to you and i followed you to warn you about it, let us pray so that you may leave with protection..."

If there's a topic similar to this, then please merge. :| I'm not asking about a scary experience like you almost crashed your car, almost died on an airplane, or you saw your grandma naked--no, not that. I'm talking about a horror story that's often times shared around a campfire while eating marshmallow. Something like that. It can be urban legend, a real ghost encounter, a hearsay, or just a plain old tale.

Please share. ^_^ I want to hear your stories.

Here's mine.

Five years ago, I was in high school, my English teacher told us about a bizaare experience two of her students had. They went to this newly built mall called Metropolis to watch a movie after class. It was late in the evening already so they managed to catch the Last show of the day. So they bought tickets and went in the theater. Inside, they saw a lot of people chitchatting. Nothing special. Just a typical scenario of a movie theater. And so, they watched the whole film.

When it was time to go, they headed for the exit. That was when they noticed the people inside weren't going anywhere. They were just in their seats. The two girls found it weird, since it was already late at night and that was supposed to be the last show for the day. Once they exited the theater, they asked the ticket boy in the booth about the people inside.

"How come they're not coming out? Is there another show after this?" they asked, or somewhere along those lines. The ticket boy just looked at them weird and told them straight that they were the only ones who were watching that movie. There was noone inside but them.

We've heard rumors that the ground the mall was built on used to be a graveyard. I don't know if that's true, but I know that story is true.

Okay, next!

hm i think i heard that story is that in philippine cuz i live in alabang area and there is a mall called metropolis well i dont go there cuz it suck but my friends go there and they told me that ghost appear in cinema ^^

Well, I kind of just made this up along the way. Hope you like it!

There were two best friends, they were inseparable. Then one of the girls, Lisa, told her friend, Emily, that if she ever had another best friend, she would never forgive her and haunt her even if she died. Emily promised that Lisa would be her only best friend forever. When they were in 6th grade, Lisa died in a car crash. At the time, she was going to meet Emily at a concession store, she was holding 2 dresses in her big bag. Both identical in every way, each pure white with long sleeves and a blue slash across it, she was planning to give it to Emily so they'd look the same for the dance. Emily mourned for her death for what it seemed like forever, after 6 months, she made some new friends. Until Lisa had died, Emily had never really gotten to know anyone. She thought that Lisa would want her to be happy, and they weren't her best friends or anything. So days went by, and she found on of her friends very interesting, her name was Christy, they were both very close.
Until one day, when someone asked them, "Why are you always partners for gym?"
Christy replied proudly, "Because, Emily is my best friend!"
Emily glanced at her, she wouldn't admit it, but she knew that she had thought of Christy as a best friend, so instead of keeping the promise she made with Lisa, she nodded gladly.
After she went home, she opened her closet to reveal a beautiful white dress with a blue slash across it. She smiled happily and went into the kitchen to thank her mother, assuming her mother had bought it.
"Mom, thanks for the dress. Its really pretty!" she called wandering through the kitchen, there was no one there. No one in the house at all besides her, "Well thats weird." she thought aloud.
"Emily...." a voice whispered behind her, "Emily..."
She turned around, expecting her mother. Instead, she found a girl. A girl wearing a white dress with a blue slash across, she looked so familiar. The girl who was calling her name whispered was staring hatefully at her, there was blood on her white dress.
"Emily...did you forget? Weren't we going to be best friends forever? Why? WHY?!?" the girl demanded.
"Lisa!" Emily said, finally realizing, "You're...you're alive?"
Lisa grinned, her big brown eyes not blinking, "No, and nor are you."
"What?" she asked, getting ready to laugh.
"Look, around. Does this look like you're home?" she asked glancing at the ceiling smiling.
Emily looked at her surroundings, she was wearing the same white dress. Her throat felt dry, her neck ached and a blue mark had appeared on it. There was no ceiling, it was all just black.
"What!" she asked, "Hey! Its not funny anymore!" she sniffed, ready to cry.
"Oh, its not a joke Emily. You broke you're promise." Lisa replied grinning evilly, "Here, we'll be best friends forever."
