Makeup is FINE; but when it changes your facial features and you look TOTALLY different from before vs. after it's NOT okay.

There is something so FAKE about circle lenses.

I wear circle lenses and no one notices I'm wearing them.

How is makeup fine and circle lenses not? They both serve the same purpose.

Simple. Circle lenses completely change who you look like from before/after mainly if you're Asian. It makes you look like a completely different person. It really changes your features.

Like I said, too much makeup does this as well; but putting just enough to highlight your own features and still resemble yourself is fine.

A load of girls where I am wear the circle lenses with fake lashes, eye-tape, contouring makeup, etc. etc. They look like two completely different persons from before vs. after. The ones who just wear a little makeup and embrace their natural features just look so much more real and comfortable with themselves than those who try so hard to look so different. This also goes out to those who slather/cake on makeup and whatnot; just be happy with yourself, and learn to love what you are naturally born with.

Why be something that you're not?

That sounds pretty fake to me.

But that's the thing. They also wear fake eyelashes, use eyelid glue, and make up as well. Therefore it's not just circle lenses that change your look. I wear circle lenses and the only thing close to make up I use is BB cream. I don't look any different. My eyes are just enhanced. Circle lenses are just as "fake" as a little make-up. They only enhance your features. Add in eyelid glue, fake lashes, and a ton more make-up and that's a different story.

Too much trouble with the upkeep. My sisters wore contacts. They kept getting eye infections and wound up having to wear glasses while their eyes were undergoing antibiotic treatment and to give their eyes a break. I'd only use them in costume parties, Halloween, or going to a Comic/Anime Con.

Sorry, I can't agree.

A little makeup just touches you up, smooths you out.

Circle lenses by themselves change your whole eye shape, and your features by making your eyes look totally, completely different and making you in turn look totally different from before/after.

they just slightly make the eyes larger.
I dont see how that can make you look completely different.
I have homegirls who wear these and the moment they
put them on it's not like I can't recognize them.

This isn't Face Off with Nicholas Cage.

Since the eyes are such an important (possibly the MOST important) feature of your face, it makes a world of difference to have a much bigger eye shape/color. The eyes are the most noticeable thing, so, it changes your appearance a LOT.

I wear brown and grey lenses. Noone notices any color change when I wear brown. They just say that my "eyes look prettier today". No one notices grey unless they look at me a few feet.

Not me but...

No lenses

With lenses

There is barely any difference in her looks. Her eyes just got slightly bigger.

Also, I don't think you take into consideration that there are brown circle lenses which are easily the most NaTURAL ones out there for Asians. Since our eyes are dark brown, wearing similar colored lenses won't do much to change our eye color, but it will enlarge by a millimeter. But because the color blends well with our eyes, you won't notice they are wearing circle lenses unless you give a good stare. I'll post a picture of myself later.

It doesn't make a difference/much of a difference because the girl in the picture is NOT Asian and does NOT have Asian eyes. When Asians put on circle lenses it DOES change their facial features entirely.

Even if you have small eyes, they're still totally different from the shape of Asian eyes, so naturally when an Asian person wears circle lenses, it changes their appearance totally.

Again, when a non-Asian person wears circle lenses it can sometimes make their eyes abnormally massive, because their eyes are already big even without the lenses.

Show an Asian in the picture and you'll see. Or any K-pop star from before vs. after would be another good option.

And why are you trying so hard to change my opinion? When did what I wrote become such a touchy subject that needs a lengthy discussion?
