HAHAHAAAA!! I know exactly what you mean! It's the only isle in which these douches find it okay to just plop down on the f*cking floor right in front of where you're trying to browse! Stand up and look at books normally with the rest of us, you chubby isle blocking bastards!

Oh gods I know what you mean. I can't stand those kinds of people. If you must sit and read in the store then go to the place in the store where they have those old, squishy, leather chairs with holes in 'em and sit and read, almost every book store has one.

I hate those people. Whenever I see them, it makes me feel consciencious and I have to go around and enter the aile from the other side. That wouldn't be so bad if they weren't almost always standing right in front of the manga I want. Then again, I'm just as bad since I usually stand there looking for the best choice for about ten minutes. But whenever anyone comes in I make sure to move over for them. Someone's indecision or laziness shouldn't come in the way of other people's shopping experiences.

i get that a lot too, i'm not usually bothered by it, but sometimes there's like a group 6 weirdos standing there andcompletely blocking the isle. And they stay there fooooreeeeveer. And some just refuse to move.

I work in a Waldenbooks, and the manga is right next to the register. Policy in our store is that we have to make them not block the isle, and if they're seen reading the same manga for more than 15 minutes, we have to tell them to put it back or buy it. It's kinda dick, but it lowers the blocks and it also keeps the manga in better condition for someone who actually plans on buying (most of them are mall goths, who man handle the spine and try to wrestle it out of their friends hands---or try to steal them).

That's only in the small stores, though. At Borders (our affiliate), you can read as long as you like, so long as you aren't blocking anyone's way or obviously damaging the books.

xDD Happens to me too...but for some reason, sometimes when I go, I see some of my friends there so I sit with them AWAY from the aisle reading and quietly fangirling about some series that isn't licensed or translated yet. Or something that happens far off into the series, thus giving spoilers to those who think they know absolutely everything about something....Then we go talk about some BL pairings and stuffs and scare a few homophobes...then my friend shuts me up by talking about some crack pairing like Suzaku or Lelouch with that old guy or something like that......but either way, It UTTERLY annoys me. I mean, CAN'T THEY MOVE!?!?! They're always standing in the way, you say 'excuse me' and they're like....'huh?' .......and then they stare at you when you're getting some 'unpopular' series that no one reads like you're some retarded person who doesn't understand anything manga. Or they talk about Shaman King or Naruto or One Piece or Bleach...and is all like ,"ooh, I know this one!!! It's good." and act like they know everything. or "eh?? You like this manga? It is SO not good." GET A LIFE PEOPLE. (really shouldn't be talking)

...but actually, the height of some bookshelves annoy me..like borders...I'm trying to get the Trinity Blood novel......and I can't even see it!!!!!!!!! .....but then again.....cosplayers do..especially those in akatsuki clothes and headbands....and act like otakus while pronouncing everything like Nar-OO-to. =.=........ah well. Those people are just pathetic either way.......LEARN ABOUT MORE SERIES OTHER THAN YOUR PRECIOUS NARUTO. ....I always just want to slap them over the head with at least Vampire Knight or KHR or something. *sigh*........pathetic peoples.

I want the CLAMP artbooks. I'm not even sure which side they have out translated...I think it was east...side?

I would just say "excuse me". Some of them would move but some of them will stay and i will just say it again/for a few times but not in a very nice tone, then when they looked at me with that unhappy look, they will always apologise. Haha XD

In our bookstore, theres mega-nerds who block the aisles with a pile of 20 volumes of hentai. It's ridiculous, but I'm glad to see that manga and anime has gotten more popular than in the 90's. Btw, in my bookstore, they call the aisle "Graphic Novels".
