This reminds me of something i found to be quite disturbing... well i was trying to introduce my friend to some manga and i picked out Death Note for him and as we were getting ready to go buy a few volumes we over hear someone saying " Yeah my bf was really into Naruto... he got me into a little bit... i would so *&^% sasukes brains out hes hawt" goood times... good times.... but yes at my local borders this is a problem XD

I'm glad that in my bookstore people kindly go to the reading area to enjoy their manga or books

AGREED! its so annoying. especially when the manga section at the bookstore is really small, and you see little freakin dudes just lazing around. they should just buy the darn'd thing instead of pissing off the workers, which is probably what they do!
ahahaha. MHM. or they should at least find a seat AWAY from the aisle.

It is, indeed. Unfortunately, not everyone is as smart as you.

I hate that too! I usually see elementary- middle school boys doing it when I go to Borders. I think they're embarrased because I always see them reading shojo and their bodies are always huddled down in the aisle.

My issue is when you are in your late 20s early 30s and you have to deal with bratty kids. You know the ones: they look at you like you're some huge looser because you are an adult who reads comics. Or if you interupt them by saying "excuse me, can I see this section" and they look like you just kicked their puppy. Im not a monster! I just like decent reading material.

On a related note, have any of you ever interupted younger kids reading naughty manga? The expressions on their faces are priceless!

I feel your pain. They look at me the same way, but what the hell... I can afford their Naruto and Bleach and whatever else they want ten times over... and when I pick yaoi (to the rare ones who know what it is) boy, the looks I get go from to

Um....yeah I sort of read in the book stores too, but only to see if it‘s any good before buying it! But they have these seats right in the middle of the so if you are reading, you aren’t blocking the shelves.

When I got to buy manga there is usually one person sitting there reading manga, but they usually aren't in the way and if they are I just ask them to move and they do. I've never had to resort to violence to get someone out of the way.

I can honestly say that I've never had to deal with people like that.

The only times people were actually sitting in aisles were for the HP releases, which was understandable, seeing as how we all had to get there five hours before midnight. Then, if we were lucky, we were out of there around 1am. Unfortunately, there were people stuck there well into the morning.
