I found a bookstore in the mall nearby, they had this whole wall of just manga.
I almost died, best part about it: No one blocking the aisles! I bought my first manga there, Vampire Knight. <3

I actually work at a Borders and we have kids come in all the time who do that very thing. There are some regulars who stay for 6 to 8 hours reading all the manga they can get their hands on. They hang out in the middle of the aisles either sitting to the side in front of one of the shelves or lay on the floor right in the middle of the floor. Sometimes they even take their shoes off to get cozy. I usually don't care what they do as long as they don't mess up the books, but when they block my way when I'm trying to put stuff away it can be kind of annoying.

Ahah, I know what you mean. I was just at the bookstore yesterday, and some fatass was standing right infront of the bookshelf while reading! I had to say excuse me at least 4 times to get him to move! My gawd.

i don't buy manga anymore.....but when i did it happened to me a lot....and sometimes when i went to Borders or Borders Outlet i would see someone sitting in the manga section and just reading a manga and after they finish they just put it back....It really annoys me when they do tht cuz if its the only volume in stock and u need it u either get it or wait another 1-2 weeks just for it

Some of the same douche bags do the same with the SAT aisle. -_- It's like, if you're not going to buy the book--go to the fucking library.

Depends where I am, I'm more worried about what people think of me for being 21 and buying manga.

Especially when I buy manga like lovecom.

This has been bothering me for a while. Every time I go to a bookstore to browse through their manga section (which is usually filled with nothing but drivel, incidentally) there are always about five or six kids sitting right in the aisle reading (usually some BS like Bleach). Now, I wouldn't make that big deal about it, if it weren't for the fact that it happens every damn time I go to the bookstore, regardless of which bookstore it is.

Seriously, it's like some freaking epidemic. Oh, and the worst ones, are the inconsiderate little punks who feel the need to sit with their frikkin legs ACROSS THE WHOLE AISLE, and won't even bother to move them, making me step over their lazy asses.

There's also the ones who won't move, even if they're blocking off a section I want to look through. Thankfully, most of them can be kicked out of the way. Unfortunately, there is always the occassional 500-pounder, who absorbs my foot like the freaking blob.

Anyway, I was just wondering if it's like that everywhere in the world, and if it bothers anyone else.

Use your mouth and say excuse me.lol it's as simple as that to solve your "epidemic" problem

That doesn't just happen in the manga aisle at bookstores, but it annoys the hell out of me wherever it happens, especially when you get really big fat guys sitting there, so wide they take up the whole aisle and you need to squeeze past them

Yeah, I got tired of the people that block the aisles >.>
I gave up on it, and now I just go to Kinokuniya (where you can't read the manga without asking a clerk to unwrap it) or Book Off where everyone is considerate.
