Do you mean the Taiwanese/Hokkien dialect or Mandarin? 'La' and 'le' are used in in colloquial Mandarin and not in the Taiwanese dialect (it's a different pronunciation). La is just added at the end of sentences and has no specific meaning. You can use it as "I want to go to the zoo la" and "Stop it la".

'Le' connotates a sense already or now. Such as "I'm going off le" means "I'm going off now", and "She has completed her task le" means "She has already completed her task".

ahhhh!!!!! thank you very MUCH! now i know! but i still wanna learn the language of taiwan... MANDARIN

Just add "La and Le" to every single end of a fucking Chinese sentence.

Fucking morons these days.

Edit: And I thought the revolt of Taiwan died down already? Here I am seeing another one of those stupid little midgets running around yelling out independence?

Ignore this. ^

Eudd pls be more sensitive to others' culture.

Personally i am a singaporean.

le is just a ending word which means already

la is actually about the same. La is also often used in Singapore. Check out Singlish

the writing is different, much more complicated (because i learned the simplified version, duh)
and they have an accent, apparently.
i cannot hear it. but my mom thinks i'm crazy because of it.

something about the 'sh' sounds. i really don't know.
