Yes but like for me FFX messedthe series for me from he start. Don't u hate that they are prolly like friken 100s of shive, ifrit, bahumut and etc in that game. They're should only be one type of summon in the game .. not like 50 summons of the same kind.

Ok from what I could understand of that post. There is only one of every summon in that game, one Shiva, one Ifrit, one Bahumut. They each have their own individual class and elements. Second off there is only 8 or 9 summons total in FFX. FFVII was the one that had closer to 30.

No u don't get it they are alot of summoners in hat game. Any summoner have the same summon as u making the game have more than 1 shiva and any other type of summon

Oh ok, well this is obviously the result of you not playing through the game. There is a deeper reason as to why the summoners all share one summon, other than the artists are lazy.

Well to tell u the truth I believe the Final Fantasy series was messed up in the end. Like from Final Fantasy 10 and up for me it messed up the Final Fantasy series for many reason. Like in Final Fantasy 10 .. I didn't like the fact the Summons were being controlled by human like all the way. I believe summons shouldn't be commanded on what they are told to do. Like in Final Fantasy 7 summons were being controlled but it wasn't control control like in FF10 ... summons suppose to be like god they shouldn't be told what to do and shouldn't risk their life to protect u like in FF10. Also I didn't like the way they made some summon look .. like Bahamut he was to cocky, Ifrit they made him look like a midget, shiva had dredlock .. I meanm come on they could have kept it original. BTW summons weren't hard to get ..if u just saw a temple then u just will know not to leave it till u get a summon ...wow ain't that obvious. FF1-9 are way better than 10 and up. Sorry my opinion...So who else is with me?

for my opinion every series of final fantasy game has a different story and has a different world... like u said summons shouldn't be told of what to do and shouldn't risk their life to protect ur characters, but in FF10 that is a different matter... from what i could understand, FF10 world has a tribe-like setting and has a what you called summoner that journeys through the world to acquire such summons and to be their masters...

I like it the way it is...the summoners in final fantasy X weren't forced to summon, they chose to do their job. Nothings wrong with it, HA, you just gotta train your charaters....lol

Chose to do their job? ...They were more like force to do their job. Anyway the whole idea was dumb .. In that game they had prollly like 50 shiva, 50 ifrit and etc. ... that just dumb. They should have kept it original. Anybody who was a summoner had the same summon as u .. and they were alot os summon er who knows they were prolly more than 100 of the same summon.

Ur point is???? If you don't like FF then why you have Tifa's pics huh??? That's what i thought!!!!!!!!!

id like to say only few things to this..........do better if you think you have abilities far superior from about over 100 people who were making ff 10 and then we could see if it really is better.......we could see that only you would like that game.......i like the way it is now and i would not change a thing......but everyone has their own opinions^^

lol well i didn't like final fantasy 10 either... what happened to the tough guys as main characters? i mean u used to play with cloud or squall 'slash first ask questions later' zidane i could understand a bit becuz of the scenery in ff9 but tidus wuzzzz sooo lame, vaan isn't any better on that point.... i didn't like ff12 either kinda becuz of that new fighting system and with the gambits u never need to do anything... u just walk to a group of enemies and u can leave...

Haha xD So true .. Tidus was lame. He had to be the lamest out of all the FFs main character series. FF12 didn't like either. Basicall ff10 and up lol

Lol, Tidus.

You know in FFX when he starts randomly dancing? Well, my friend actually uses it to greet her other friend with. It's known as the Gay Dance. :P

And dude, what the hell was wrong with his clothes? I think he hired a blind tailor, or something. xD

Onto the subject...

I don't really like the battle system in XII, but X was quite good. XII just... confused me. First there was the whole gibberish of the 20 or so minute long intro cutscene which seemed to be an instant cure for my insomnia, and then... I just didn't get the battle system at all. Tried, couldn't (yes, it may look easy since you just choose stuff from a menu and move your character in the meantime, but the characters kept swapping all the time)...

Give me FF7 Crisis Core any day, lol.

I consider XII to be the second best Final Fantasy of all time.
I think I enjoy it more than VII even.

I happen to like FFX over 1-9. The fact that Aeons made perfect tanks was one of the factors that made me think so. Every game before that was like, just a spell. Sure, KOTR rocked everyone's world with 8kdmgx13, and the Bahamut scenes were out of this world (Which I just realized disproves one of popcorn's points about there being only one type of each summon in games prior to X), but with X, you get variety. A normal attack, a defend, a special attack, magic, and even an Overdrive. Simply casting the same spell over and over would get boring after a while.

Furthermore, if you did not get all the summons, you have no idea what it takes to get people like Anima and the Magus Sisters. Seriously, the Anima boss (the petrifying one) took me like, 10 tries to kill. And the Summoner you have to beat to get the Magus Sisters? Near the end, it was taking me a couple tries to beat her. Yojimbo was stupid, though. Making me pay with my hard earned gil...
Also, it wasn't very hard to get summons in the prior games, either. For VII, all you had to do was pretty much know where to click O. For VIII, you start out with two, and kill the rest (who, in my opinion, were all very easy). IX was the simplist, where all you did was equip a stone and level up with it. XII was my favorite, though. The main story ones were easy enough, but the final ones were amazingly hard to get. I have yet to get Zodiark. And Ultima was one helluva fight.

About the looks... While Bahamut Zero was the coolest summon ever (in looks), the others paled in comparison to FFX's. Ifrit looked like a real demon, Shiva looked like a Goddess, Ixion was hella tight looking, etc etc. The graphics will get better as time goes on, and with it, new images of the summons will come. It is just a fact of life.

My final note is that if you are basing everything on simply the summons, you fail at Final Fantasy. Summons are merely one point of strategy in the game. Honestly, playing the games without summons is just as good with them. The real joy in the FF series is the gameplay, storyline, and the mass destruction of uncountable numbers of enemies. As such, I believe FFT and FFVII to be two of the best FFs out there, due to their differing systems of battle and stories.
