If you have heard of this event and taken part in it I would just like to know your views on it.

I have completed the event and it was extremly hard for days to march 200km not easy I can tell you.

If you havent done it do you plan on doing it.

Here is a pic of the Candien army marching in the victory parade.

I am also doing it again this year don't ask me why lol.

Here are some of pictures from the event.

Just as we leave camp early in the morning

The entrance to the camp with both of our teams

One of the teams at a rest stop

Could you provide more background information about the event? Also, I do believe this belongs to the general section.

In the Four Days Marches one of three different distances is to be walked every day: 30, 40 or 50 km. The following classification is made according to age and gender.

R = Regulation distance
This is the minimum distance participants must walk successfully every day. The minimum distance depends on age and gender.

E = Extended distance
This is the regulation distance, plus (optionally) ten or twenty kilometres a day for four days.

You can use the tables below to calculate the minimum distance you must walk, based on the year in which you were born. These rules do not apply for military participants.

Men
Year of birth
1993-1996 30 km R 40 km E 50 km E
1990-1992 40 km R 50 km E
1959-1989 50 km R
1948-1958* 40 km R 50 km E
1947 or earlier* 30 km R 40 km E 50 km E

Women
Year of birth
1993-1996 30 km R 40 km E 50 km E
1949-1992 40 km R 50 km E
1948 or earlier 30 km R 40 km E 50 km E

What else would you like to know? :)

Is this much of an extended discussion? It's a march... that's pretty much all I see from it. This isn't Extended Discussion material...

Whats the point?

I mean, is it like a marathon, do people get sponsored, is it just for the exercise?
