If he constantly kept the fanservice to something more like the Sleeping Forest arc, then it'd be better. |

It's not like the other series where there's a great potential for a story, then it suddenly dies off. I can keep reading these and expect to find new things I didn't realize before. The movements he makes are just amazing, even with the pseudo-science, it's just unbelievable. Too bad the anime doesn't live up to the quality of the manga, which is odd in a way seeing it's opposite for most other series. A tidbit, he was a hentai mangaka earlier on. That might be the reason for his figures. |

Too bad the anime doesn't live up to the quality of the manga, which is odd in a way seeing it's opposite for most other series. A tidbit, he was a hentai mangaka earlier on. That might be the reason for his figures. Even so, have you noticed that this story first starts out as something like a totally innocent sports equipment that's used by gangs which is believable. But as the story goes on, even though it gets cooler, it totally evolves into something that was used for the military...there's no more of that simple bliss that was there in the beginning. I know this is part of what a great plot is supposed to be, but I think he crossed the line with the whole gravity child and artificially created humans and military conspiracy. If it stayed like something that was still sports with the underground society it'd be better in my opinion instead of all the random organizations that pop up and the random jumpy plot. Like from fighting in a battle then automatically going off to training at a random shrine. (Though Akito/Agito's fight was still awesome) And the fact how he's blatantly denying all his beginning of the series rules about how losers have to disband afterwards. Basically, the arts great and the overall storyline is too, but the plotholes just really annoy me. I'd rather read something with a full story like Alive even if the art wasn't topnotch. |

Arina Tanemura's art started off... weird.
But her later works, Full Moon O Sagishite, Shinshi Doumei Cross, and Zettai no Kakusei Tenshi Mistress Fortune are really pretty. |
