Considering that a lot of american ISP's like Comcast want to stop P2P, I would expect to see this technology get smashed. It is a good model for distributing large files, but as most ISP's, the MPAA, and the RIAA see it, it is a method of piracy that needs to be destroyed like the original Napster at the turn of the century. I like how Crunchy Roll is using P2P (though I'm still not using it until the end of the month when my supporter status is up), it may have to have a double model for those who can use P2P and those who cannot.

I think the proposal in Japan is targeting Japanese P2P software like Winny (similar to WinMX, soulseek, old Napster) not necessarily BitTorrent or Youtube-like sites. Majority of Japanese people don't know about BitTorrent since it's pretty English-based but many of them do know about Winny or other P2P software of that kind tailored to the Japanese people. Don't think this move will really hit the fansub community though. They can send raws through direct download ways and use BT.

That being said, I don't think it's really Japanese people using CR rather than foreigners in Japan using CR. So for us, this sucks. XD;

ok everone listen fansubber and raws are not affected and they will do there best to give you the raws and subbed anime you need ok. the anime will still be uploaded and download so dont worry and everything will be fine ok and trust me and you guys will see your anime and anime will still go on and fansubbers and raws that upload do your best to got the anime on here for the fans and do you best ok and people who love downloading and uploading videos, and music that the right to do it so and people of japan will rise up and tell them to undo it and they are still getting probably getting mad complains and bad comments about the ban ok.
