yes, this is exactly what i am talking about. If you are chinese, you'd probably know. if you guys ever heard of the song "Waiting For You - Anson Hu" The song is really good, but the english doesn't even make sense and it sounds weird.

<3 I adore that song.

Meh. It makes sense to me.

i really HATE it when chinese artists use english in songs and it doesn't even make sense. in my opinion, it kind of cheapens the song. It would only sound good if they use it RIGHT and say it clearly enough to understand. :)
korean artists have good pronounciation, so their's aren't that bad.

what do ya'll thinkk?

sorry if this thread was already madee. =\

excuse me? It's just those stupid Taiwanese singers who do that. Chinese singers are defined as singers that were born in mainland China. Please give me an example where a Chinese singer sings songs with english in it.

To me, it's the korean singers who do that. In every song there seems to be English somewhere. If you h ave heard of LALALA by Se7en, he starts off with "I know kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk Promise kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk." K= Korean. He really adds English at random places, and it songs like nothing but English

i don't mind it, if the words make sense, like if it's one word and then the rest of the line is in their native tongue and then later on another word then that's fine.

it does bug me though when they say a sentence or two and it's completely incoherent. but like Aegis said, most of their english is ok, and they are trying hard.

but personally i still like them just singing in their native language. ^_^

uhmm i did mention that koreans have better pronounciation. mainly now i guess, its the taiwanese singers. and my example was "Waiting for you - Anson Hu"
i do agree that it is a beautiful song but the words dont make sense although youu know what it overall means. i just believe that they should at least do a grammer check.

oh, and the taiwanese, chinese thing, dont even get me started. right now, it doesnt really matter, as long as the common dialect is the same and we can understand each other.

meh, if the song is good and the context of the words are proper then there is no problem with the use of foreign words in song (regardless of the singers native tongue).
