I take IB classes at my skool and let me tell you, it sucks like hell!! I used to b in regular classes, but then I was switch to IB classes and now skool is like so boring!!! Those classes are hard and i had to work my butt off jux to get a good grade in there so that my parents wouldn't kick my ass!! But once you're used to it, it'll get easier. But let me tell u, u won't have as much free time, cuz the work load is bigger than regular classes. Rite now I take chemistry, american history, and english as my IB classes. Chemistry is really hard, unless ur some geek, so if u don't like things like atoms and molecules, don't take it!! English and history is okay!! That's all!!

I don't think it's hard...you just need to do your work...and take school more seriously than before...but you'll catch up to it....^^

If you find anything hard...just ask...I think I can help........

EDIT: But now I'm taking all AP classes....AP is equivalent to IB in my new school....I just took an IB school because I applied for Oxford University...and they take IB students seriously....I don't really need any credits except for my American Government, and I'm going to take it next year (my senior year)...so my classes right now are not really important....but if you need help...I'll be glad to help you...

and not all IB students are cheaters...even though I agree that most of us do cheat, but not all of us....

I'm in the IB program. I've been there for quite some time now
It's really not the hard...
All you do is get assessed by IB standards
I've managed to get all A's
should be easy
But we have things called "personal projects"
They are hard....

EDIT-

I don't know why everyone thinks it's so hard...
cuz it's not. trust me,
I'm not unbelievably smart.. but I'm asian
They don't over load you with homework
and by the way... it does help on your college ap...

seriously its a demanding program
when i mean demanding its demanding the competition is quite tough because EVERYONE wants to do well
everyone wants the good grades
i suggest that if you want to do do well in the program should at least get 90 % and above average, grade 9 isn't 2 demanding because you will be following the regular stream but the pace is much more fast when they say higher level they mean more homework faster pace and must get good grades >_> they don't give all the information that you need to know because they expect you too find it, so they don't exactly spoon feed you but unless you ask the teacher they would i say just go academic >_>

I'm taking IB italian and my first test is thursday. some of my friends are doing the IB program and they absolutely hate it. but I do have one friend (the oddball) who likes it. I think it can be hard, but if you work hard you'll have an easier time with it

My school offers IB program. I mean, seriously, don't take it, unless you love homework. For me, IB is worse than hell. We got 3x as much homework as regular classes. We got at least 2 projects a week. We didn't just write essays for English, but for social studies and science too. I transferred out for the sake of happiness. I didn't want to sacrfice my leisure time.

lol... when I first started IB, I absolutely HATED english... it was my worst subject ¬_¬;;

now, I'm lucky that english is one of the classes that's keeping me afloat =_=;;
except I totally screwed up my oral =/
so now all I can do is hope I don't screw up my world lit. paper, my EE, or my commentary next year >_<

Personally, I only took IB classes and not the whole IB diploma simply b/c I was planning to major in the arts. But judging from many of my friends and brother's experience, its alot of work but definetly do-able. I think you should stick with standard first and if you find it too easy, you cna always change to higher(If I recall correctly, I think they allow you to do that). If you really want to get into an Ivy League school or some other school among the top, then IB will help you in a sense. Good Luck!
