Result for Yahoo! JAPAN Music Awards 2007

First I want to apologize that I've been late to give this news,gomen ne,this is because i've been freaking crazy with my work,but heres i bring the result from the previous voted that i inform to you guys.

Yahoo! Japan has announced the results of its 2007 Yahoo! Music Awards. The main awards, which were decided by users' votes, went to the following artists:

* Best Male Artist: Hideaki Tokunaga
* Best Female Artist: YUI
* Best Group: L'Arc~en~Ciel
* Most Photogenic Artist: Maki Goto
* Best Western Artist: Backstreet Boys
* Best Newcomer: ERIKA
* Best Artwork: "Tanz Walzer," Quruli
* Best Collaboration: "yanokami," yanokami

Yahoo! also revealed its own rankings for the year, based on factors such as downloads and page views. Mr.Children was #1 in the Artist category, while GReeeeN's "Aiuta" won in the Works category.

why did Backstreet Boys win for best western artsist?

Backstreet Boys wins for best western artist .I guess that is because as you know that boyband very popular in Japan,right?so that would be no wonder they can win,and i think that their still had huge fans in Japan.

What a strange world the Japanese live in where boys who lip sync and dance are considered artists. For laruku to win this contest seems all the less credible. :[

Actually BSB very popular in most asian countries.....

Yeah, the Asian music scene is kind of sad. Sometimes I wonder if the good bands are even recognized for their talents instead of the way they present themselves. (But most popular music is shallow anyway. <.<)

yeah im so happy!! i was like "cyaahH!! they won" when i checked the site but i wonder...what kind of award did they get?...some kind of trophy? 0_o
